Visitor Reviews
The market was amazing and full of energy. We had so much fun acting like crazy people, running and jumping from one stall to another, laughing and shouting like kids with no rules. The atmosphere was vibrant and unforgettable. The only small downside… my friend couldn’t stop farting, which made the experience even more chaotic than planned. Still, a hilarious and memorable visit that we’ll definitely never forget!
Unpretentious market full of local life and excellent opportunity to select your fish and have it cooked for you. Boat tours also available. We thoroughly enjoyed our day here. Open only on a weekend.
Taling is definitely more local focused so if you wish to step outside of the tourist environment then visit this floating market. We took a tour on the boat which led to another market we could walk for 20 minutes. Total boat experience was 1 hrs and 20 minutes. Not a lot at the 2nd market but you can grab something to eat but overall think of it as a local flea market (US type). That said, the tour guide was very social she pointed 2 or 3 places and that's why I give it 4 stars. Taling was a great place for fresh fruits and affordable souvenirs and even some clothing items. Easy to get to using Grab - easy drop off and pick spots.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
