Maliha Yoga
Tucked along Chai Songkhram Road in the laid-back town of Pai, Maliha Yoga is a dedicated Ashtanga yoga studio run by instructor Pixie, who has built a loyal following among both first-time visitors and returning students. The studio offers a genuinely personal experience, with small class sizes that allow Pixie to observe each student individually and adapt the practice to suit different abilities — making it accessible to beginners while remaining engaging for more experienced practitioners. The space itself is a draw in its own right. Visitors consistently highlight the natural ventilation, the uncluttered layout, and the absence of the overcrowded mat-to-mat setup common at busier studios. Classes have a calm, focused atmosphere that reflects the Ashtanga tradition, with an emphasis on breathwork, alignment, and intentional movement. The 10am class is a popular choice among drop-in visitors exploring Pai. Good to know: opening hours and booking details are not listed online, so it is worth reaching out in advance or stopping by in person to confirm the current class schedule. Given the small and personal nature of the studio, spots may be limited — particularly during Pai's busy season between November and February. Comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for active yoga practice is recommended.

Visitor Reviews
Kru Pix , Ashtanga yoga classes are suitable for all levels. She carefully observes each student and adapts the practice to match individual abilities, ensuring a safe and supportive experience. Her teaching has a calm, well-balanced rhythm that helps students feel comfortable and at ease. I especially appreciate her gentle and mindful hands-on adjustments, which are never too intense and create a sense of trust and relaxation. Overall, this is an excellent class for both beginners and experienced practitioners. I highly recommend her Hata yoga and Ashtanga yoga classes, especially for those new to Ashtanga.
I loved every single yoga class here at Maliha with the wonderful teacher Pixie. For me, it was the best yoga experience in Pai! 🥰 It is personal, spacious (NOT 20+ mats next to each other), with beautiful energy and the coolest yoga shala. After my first class, I knew I wanted to come back every day, and I did for three weeks. 😅 I had been practising yoga sporadically for a few years before, but Pixie taught me some very valuable things that helped me progress quickly. And don't get me wrong; it was not just the Asanas 😉 ...at Maliha, you get the full yoga experience, and that always gave me a great start to my day. I'm so grateful and can't wait to come back! ASHATANGA 4 ever 🫶🏼 Oh, and there is no need for reservations. Just drop in for the class and enjoy! ♥️
Great experience for yogi! Pixie teaching brought me to calmness, powerful Ashtanga, focus and back to my breath. She also unlock my tripod practice. This space is superb for yoga, natural ventilation from natural material and design that keep space so quiet but still shining the energy. Pixies may massage your head after class which is amazing!, so if you are sensitive to this you can inform her first.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
