Visitor Reviews
The hotel facilities are outstanding, and the overall experience was excellent. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, thoughtfully providing daily essentials like water and fresh towels outside the room even when the Do Not Disturb sign was displayed. The hotel is located on a hill, so be prepared for a bit of walking or light hiking, but it is absolutely worth it. The view from the room is breathtaking and offers a very peaceful and relaxing environment. I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and scenic views.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Travelled solo. Main objetive was to dive in the Phi Phi Islands Archipelago. This hotel has so much potential, but unfortunately the management has probably shut it eyes and are probably milking the property. They have positiioned this hotel as catering to packaged tour customers who probably need a place to eat, shower and sleep. Very poor customer service. Restaurant staff were decent. This is a 3-star property. Positives: 1. Biggest positive is its location. On the main Krabi Ao Nang beach strip (though a 7-10 mins walk to the beach), this hotel is bang in the middle of the eating joints, massage places, bars etc. etc. Tucked away on a hill, it has its own quiet locaiton in the middle of the hustle and bustle. 2. Views of the nearby mountains are nice. Upper floors have sea views. 3. Large sized rooms with pool view. Resonably clean bathrooms. 4. Hearty and tasty breakfast, despite the grimy breakfast room. 5. Large (rectangular pool). 6. Good value compared to other hotels around them. Negatives: 1. Clearly the hotel has seen better days. The owners have stopped investing in the hotel. 2. Old furniture in the room. The wall lamp was almost broken. 3. Mismatched linen. One bedsheet had lines pattern, other was plain. 4. Grimy breakfast area. Dirty fans in reception. Unebelievably dirty. 5. Astounding service/zero customer orientation : When I asked to see the duty manager to complain about the fans in the reception being disgusting, his initial approach was intimidating. As if ‘how dare you complain’. Overall none of the staff greet you well or smile at you. Very unlike Thailand. 6. Asked to pay for water. Can be easily made complimentary. In summary : This place has potential. There is infact a rooftop pool in the midst of tropical greenery. However that area needs maintenance. Keep your expectations low, get a good price and then you can use this as a good base to explore this beautiful region. Don’t expect customer service and you won’t be too dissappointed.
I stayed at Chada for 5 days and my overall experience is positive. I have the room with pool access and partial mountain view and it was stunning. However, the hotel is has old charm, meaning that its not on par with modern interior. Its decorated with antique chinese influence furniture and doorware. If you are into this vibe, then you will appreciate the room because I loved it. The staff were wonderful and friendly. They do try to help you as much as they can, although I would consider the service as slow. The breakfast variety is not the greatest but they taste good. The location is so convenient. It is further away from Ao Nang beach (20mins down the road) but that means that the hotel is quieter, but still within close distance to 7-11, great eateries and massage spas.
