Tolani Resort

Tolani Resort sits directly on the beach in the Maret district of Koh Samui, offering a quietly upscale retreat away from the island's busier tourist strips. The resort combines beachfront access with a full spa, an outdoor pool, and kayak rentals, making it a well-rounded base for both relaxation and light activity. A cosmopolitan restaurant and bar overlooks the water, and guests consistently highlight the quality of the food alongside the setting.
What stands out most in guest experiences is the standard of personal service. Staff are frequently praised by name for their warmth, attentiveness, and strong English communication — a detail that makes a noticeable difference for international travellers. Room upgrades have been mentioned by multiple guests, and the resort has shown willingness to accommodate specific needs in advance, including requests made by families travelling with young children. Accommodation options include garden rooms and pool villas.
For those planning to visit, it is worth contacting the resort directly before arrival with any special requirements, as the team appears responsive to advance requests. The resort operates around the clock, so late arrivals are accommodated. Tolani suits couples, families, and solo travellers looking for a relaxed, beach-facing stay with attentive hospitality rather than a large, resort-style property.

Reviews from Google
ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Tolani Resort is the definition of a perfect vacation spot. From the moment we arrived, to the amazing staff and the incredibly spacious rooms – everything was just perfect. The staff are unbelievably kind, attentive, polite, and absolutely respectful – they really made us feel so welcome. We stayed in the Tropical Pool Villa and we’re still raving about it. The privacy was something we really valued (perfect for hijabis!). The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the villa was equipped with everything you could need – big hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, even a beach bag and hat. The cleanliness of the whole resort is truly impressive. Our room, pool, and terrace were cleaned daily. Breakfast was super tasty, with a medium-sized selection that was more than enough and really high quality. We didn’t use the main outdoor pool much since we had our own, but we loved sitting there in the evenings with the stunning view over the open sea – just magical. The reception team was available 24/7 via WhatsApp, which was super convenient. Tolani is also very well located – it’s just a short ride to Lamai, where you can enjoy the night market or relax at the beautiful Lamai Beach. I definitely recommend renting a scooter, as it makes you much more flexible – you can even rent one directly through the resort.
Tolani was an amazing stay for my wife, my 9 month old son and I. We messaged them ahead of time asking if thye had a bottle sanitizer for our son's milk bottles which they didn't, however they organised a brand new one for our stay! The staff were so kind and helpful - we really loved staying here. Food was good, massages were great. Thank you Tolani staff for a great holiday
Khun Junior and Khun John made me feel like I was at home. Wow. The standard of spoken English is refreshing. I am a walk-in guest but made to feel so welcome. Resort residents here are in the right place. Happy hour beers are a positive. Friendly management P’Tien kudos. Good view. Cool breeze. Did not eat but fellow guests I met here highly recommended the food. It’s quiet and relaxing. The pavilion allow smoking with a great view. Will be back next week. Happy days.
