Bhundhari Residence Koh Samui
Positioned directly on Chaweng Beach, one of Koh Samui's most visited and energetic coastal strips, this beachfront hotel offers guests immediate access to the island's sand, sea, and surrounding atmosphere of restaurants, bars, and shops. The location remains its strongest asset, placing visitors within easy reach of Chaweng's lively beach culture without needing transport for most day-to-day activity. Visitors should approach with realistic expectations. Reviewers consistently note that the property, while once a higher-standard resort, has aged considerably and has not kept pace with upkeep. Reports of dated rooms, peeling paint, dusty surfaces, and missing or non-functional in-room amenities — including Wi-Fi, television, and in-room safes — suggest a gap between what is advertised online and what guests actually find on arrival. The beach access itself has also been flagged as less straightforward than the beachfront positioning implies. Good to know: Before booking, verify current amenities directly with the property or through the official website rather than relying solely on third-party listing photos, which may reflect an earlier version of the property. The hotel operates around the clock, offering flexibility for late arrivals. Those prioritising a quiet, low-key stay may find the location suits them, but travellers expecting full resort facilities at a polished standard may want to weigh their options carefully. The dry season between November and February generally offers the most favourable weather for a Koh Samui visit.

Visitor Reviews
If you're looking for a hotel near Samui Airport, this one is conveniently located with a nice atmosphere, although the rooms might be a bit dated, but not excessively so. It's quiet and peaceful, situated on a hill with beautiful sea views. The staff provides good service.
Bhundhari Residence is an okay place to stay - there’s beautiful views, no doubt, but the rooms itself are okay. There’s a bit of dust, stains/dirt on walls, and toilet paper isn’t refreshed between guests. There is a beautiful pool and it’s a truly immersive jungle experience that’s a bit of a walk (but close if you taxi or rent a moped). This is available to book through Airbnb and the host is very responsive! Note: - there’s no wifi and it’s 200 THB per week if you need it! - the hill is very steep to get from reception to the units, they do offer golf cart rides from 1-9pm
Don't believe the amenities posted. The photos are Old. Plus the room amenities are WRONG rooms have NO wifi-NO TV-NO satellite or cable-NO in room safe. Not walking distance to anything. The beach access across the street is Nasty, trash everywhere. Mosquitos are bad. Pretty entrance, large room but WiFi was important to have. No manager on site, I tried calling & messaging several times to manager but never responded to any of my messages. The complex is very neglected
