My Home Guesthouse Kanchanaburi
Compare prices
Situated directly on Maenamkwai Road — the heart of Kanchanaburi's riverside strip — My Home Guesthouse offers straightforward, affordable accommodation with easy access to the town's bars, restaurants, and massage centres. The property is set within a well-maintained garden area filled with plants, giving it a calm, green feel that provides a sense of shelter despite its central location. Rooms range from basic fan-cooled options with shared bathrooms to air-conditioned rooms with en suite facilities, catering to different budgets. Guests consistently note that rooms and shared bathrooms are kept clean, and the staff are described as friendly and helpful. Free coffee is available daily, free parking is on-site, and the atmosphere leans relaxed and family-friendly rather than flashy. A refrigerator is not standard in rooms, which is worth keeping in mind during warmer months. Practically speaking, the guesthouse is well-placed for travellers arriving by train, as Kanchanaburi Railway Station is nearby, though those arriving by bus may find the location less convenient. Fan rooms without en suite bathrooms can feel warm during the heat of the day, so travellers sensitive to heat may want to book an air-conditioned room. With rooms available from around 250 Baht per night, it represents strong value for budget-conscious travellers looking for a clean, centrally located base in Kanchanaburi. The guesthouse opens from noon each day.

Visitor Reviews
Stayed two nights in the 250 Baht double fan room with shared toilets. Rooms and toilets were clean, and loved the green space around this guesthouse. Staffs were really friendly and helpful! Rooms were a little small but it didn't really bothered us since we spent most of our time outdoors (or else, at the common area, enjoying the free coffee!) Location was fantastic, 10 minutes walk to the night market and train station, and there were plenty of bars and food options on the street where this guest house is located
A family hotel with a friendly atmosphere. The room with aircon and a bathroom was clean and tidy. Good water pressure, so had a nice shower. A refrigerator would be useful, but could live without it. The common area is nicely maintained, with a place to relax surrounded by plenty of greenery. There are shops and dining options nearby. It's also close to the train station and the main attractions of the city.
Located in river Kwai road. All bars and massage centres are just 10 steps away from the room. Cheap and best price you get here. And the rooms are very clean. Coffee is free all DST’s everyday. Only 100thb as a deposit. Laundry is 50thb. Friendly and well English speaking person in the counter. Nice sit out area for smoking.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
