Cicada Hotel Kanchanaburi
Cicada Hotel is a modern, simply styled lodging option situated in Tambon Pak Phraek, Kanchanaburi, positioned conveniently along the main road with easy access to a nearby mall and the wider Kanchanaburi area. The hotel appeals to travellers looking for a clean, comfortable base without unnecessary frills, offering well-appointed rooms with notably comfortable beds and a peaceful, low-noise environment that suits both short stays and longer visits. Guests can expect a tidy, modern interior with straightforward décor, spacious rooms, and private parking on site — a practical bonus for those travelling by car. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the property offers good value for money relative to the level of comfort provided. The hotel suits independent travellers and couples who want a reliable, no-fuss stay within reach of Kanchanaburi's key attractions, including the River Kwai bridge and surrounding national parks. A practical note for guests: housekeeping is not provided automatically on a daily basis, so those requiring room cleaning should request it directly with staff. Travellers visiting Kanchanaburi during the rainy season (May through October) should also be aware that mosquitoes can be a presence in the area, so packing repellent is advisable. Checking availability directly through the hotel's Facebook page is recommended, as that serves as the primary point of contact and booking information source.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing stay. The price is so reasonable. The room was so comfortable with one of the most comfortable beds iv ever slept on. Staff are so sweet and helpful and friendly. And location is great as it is across the street from a huge mall. Highly recommend!
Everything was so perfect for staying 3 nights. Clean, big space, private parking, no nose, electric switches are located perfectly.
Good location infront of main road and mall.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
