Tiger Kingdom
Situated in Kathu just outside central Phuket, Tiger Kingdom offers visitors the rare and closely guided experience of entering enclosures with live tigers, ranging from small cubs through to large adult Bengal tigers, white tigers, and cheetahs. Multiple packages are available, allowing visitors to select encounters based on tiger size and species, making it a flexible option for those wanting a brief introduction or a more extensive visit across several categories. The experience is supervised by on-site staff throughout, and the close proximity to the animals provides strong opportunities for photography. Visitor accounts are broadly positive, with many describing their chosen package as a genuinely memorable highlight of their Phuket trip. That said, some visitors report feeling that sessions inside the enclosures can feel brief, and the attraction draws consistent crowds, meaning wait times of up to two hours are possible even during standard operating periods. Good to know: Booking a package in advance is strongly recommended, particularly during the peak tourist season from November to February. It is worth reviewing the available package combinations before arrival, as prices and inclusions vary by tiger size and species. Comfortable, close-toed shoes are advisable, and visitors should follow all staff instructions carefully when inside the enclosures. Arriving early in the day is a practical way to reduce potential wait times and make the most of the visit.

Visitor Reviews
For me, this really was a once in a lifetime, opportunity. Do it once, and get the heck out of the cage. It can get a little busy so just be prepared. They told us it would be a 2 hour wait. However, we ended up in a cage with Tigers in about 45 minutes. It's a little intimidating being fenced in with an animal that can rip your face off, but they were very mild-mannered and docile creatures. They are not drugged from what they told us. They were just raised this way. I did feel the trainer's were playing a little rough with them which makes it a little more intimidating when you're inside the cage, but the Tigers were patient even with them. They charge by the age and size of the tiger and have packages for multiples. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
We went to Tiger’s kingdom in Phuket, we got the package of small-medium and big tigers (there are still packages for newborn and giant, white tiger and cheetah) TBH medium-big and giant tigers all looked the same to us, so you can get the offer for medium size to save money. You can watch them for free outside the cage while waiting for your turn, then when you enter the cage you have 10mins to spend with them and take as much pictures as you want, following the rules for your safety and for the tiger’s comfort. There’s also a shopping/souvenir shop along with coffee and snacks small store where you can have a snack or coffee while enjoying the view of tigers! It’s a bit expensive but a nice lifetime experience!
An unforgettable encounter with magnificent tigers! Visiting Tiger Kingdom was the highlight of my Phuket trip. It is truly a unique experience to get so close to these powerful animals. We spent time with both the tiny cubs and the giant adults. The big tigers are absolutely massive and majestic! The staff was professional and made us feel safe throughout the session. If you want to experience the power of nature up close, this is the place to be. Magnificent

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
