Sawanu Travel (Phuket Branch)
Book here if you want the Phi Phi Islands done properly and don't fancy piecing a day trip together yourself. This is a tour operator on Thepkasattri Road in Ko Kaeo, and the full-day Phi Phi run is what it's known for. Transport turns up when it says it will, groups get split into boats with named crews, and the food on board comes in quantities people write home about. Several guides get called out by name in reviews, Tommy chief among them, along with Nookie and New on the F4 boat, which tells you the personality of the day depends a bit on which crew you land with.
The pre-departure setup is less polished. The briefing room gets crowded and seating runs short, so expect to stand for a bit while you eat the pastries, fruit and sandwiches laid out beforehand. Towels come with the trip, and there's a small shop selling waterproof phone pouches and sunscreen if you've forgotten either.

Reviews from Google
We had a fantastic time with Sawanu travels on the Phi Phi Islands trip. Everything was very well organized, on time and the experience exceeded our expectations. The food was abundant and delicious, and we were never left hungry. The guides on board of the F4 (Nookie & New) were funny, entertaining, and made the whole trip enjoyable, while the rest of the team were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day. We truly felt well taken care of and would highly recommend using Sawanu Travel to anyone visiting Phi Phi Islands. We went with our kids, the boat was great and they didnt feel sea sick at all.
I had a great experience with Sawanu Travel on Phi Phi island trip .. The team was so nice and helpful , everything was on time as we expected, the food was tasty and the atmosphere just perfect. Our tour guy Tommy (Phuket Branch ) was the best part of the trip, so funny , taking lots of pictures for us .. He recommended us the most delicious local coconut ice cream that I had ever eaten 😅
We booked a Phi Phi Islands excursion through TripAdvisor on a Thursday with Sawanu Travel, and overall it was a well-organized experience. Transportation was punctual and everything ran smoothly. The briefing room felt a bit crowded with limited seating. Light refreshments like pastries, fruit, and sandwiches were available before departure. Towels were provided and there’s also a small store where you can buy essentials like waterproof phone pouches and sunscreen. Guests were divided into groups by wristband color. Our guide, Sky was energetic and made the day even more enjoyable. The boat ride was smooth overall though quite windy. Safety was clearly prioritized—there were plenty of life jackets for everyone. Water, sparkling drinks (both low sugar and sugar-free), and mini cakes were offered all throughout the day. The bathrooms at the islands (except for Phi Phi Don) were unsanitary, so it’s best to bring tissues and hand sanitizer. Lunch was served as a buffet, though the options were limited and the food was just okay. Our group enjoyed the chicken wings the most. There are other food options on the island such as Burger King and Subway. We wish we had more than an hour to explore on Phi Phi Don—the time felt just enough to use the restroom and grab a quick bite. Snorkeling was offered at three locations, and we also got to pass by areas with monkeys without needing to leave the boat. My main complaint is the last stop at Bamboo Island. While we had the most time there, it felt overcrowded as if all the tour companies had brought tourists to the same spot. Seating for those not snorkeling was limited and there weren’t enough places to sit. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase but it would have been nice if beach chairs were available—especially after a full day out in the sun. On the way back, we were offered fresh watermelon and pineapple. Once you return your wristband you can grab an ice cream on the way out. Overall, it was a fun and safe excursion with a great guide. But some logistical improvements especially regarding facilities would make it even better.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
