Siam Cuisine Thai Cookery School
Siam Cuisine Thai Cookery School offers an immersive cooking experience in Krabi, giving travellers the chance to learn the foundations of authentic Thai cuisine under the guidance of knowledgeable, English-speaking chefs. Classes are structured to welcome all experience levels, with instructors who take time to introduce local ingredients and explain traditional techniques before guiding participants through the cooking process. Visitors have prepared as many as 12 dishes in a single session, making it a genuinely substantial culinary education rather than a superficial tasting exercise. The atmosphere is relaxed, hands-on, and well-suited to both solo travellers and families. Instructors are consistently noted for their patience, warmth, and ability to make classes engaging and easy to follow. Small group sizes — including the option of private sessions for two — mean participants receive attentive instruction throughout. The school also photographs participants during the class and shares the images afterwards, adding a memorable keepsake to the experience. For practical planning, morning classes are available and tend to offer a comfortable start to the day before the afternoon heat sets in. The school is located in the Sai Thai area of Mueang Krabi district. As no booking website is currently listed, prospective visitors are advised to contact the school directly or enquire through their accommodation for scheduling and availability.

Visitor Reviews
We joined a Thai cooking class in Krabi today and absolutely loved the experience. The instructors were friendly, patient, and made the whole lesson fun and easy to follow. Everything was well organized, the ingredients were fresh, and we learned a lot of useful tips about traditional Thai cooking. We could choose our own dishes, and the food we made tasted amazing — truly authentic and even better than in many restaurants. After cooking, we enjoyed the meal together and received recipes to take home. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Krabi!
We had a great experience with our cooking class. We did a morning class and it was just the two of us. We got to learn about the main ingredients for Thai food. It was very interesting to see how keeping things quick and simple can make the most complex and delicious Thai flavours. We got to make 6 dishes and they were all amazing. Make sure you go hungry as it's a lot of food! The cookbook we got at the end will be used a lot. Breaks down all the dishes and ingredients. Would definitely recommend.
The cooking classes were amazing! The chef was very kind and explained everything clearly. She started by introducing all the ingredients. Under the chef’s supervision, we prepared 12 dishes in total (for 2 people), and I can definitely say that it was the best food I’ve eaten during our two-week holiday in Thailand. We even made our own curry paste from scratch and received a recipe book with all the dishes. After the class, the owner kindly gave us a ride to the other city.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
