Samui Yoga with Mike
Samui Yoga with Mike is a yoga studio and fitness space located in the Maret area of Koh Samui, offering classes in a beachside setting that draws both first-time visitors and seasoned practitioners. What sets this studio apart is the personal, attentive teaching style of instructor Mike Cooper, who adapts sessions to suit the group — whether that means guiding a large party of complete beginners through their first sunrise session on the beach or working with more experienced students on specific styles and techniques. The atmosphere is consistently described by visitors as warm, professional, and genuinely transformative. Mike teaches different styles of yoga across different days, giving visitors the flexibility to find a class that matches their level and interests. Group sessions are available and have accommodated parties of up to 17 people, making this a practical option for those travelling with friends, family, or a corporate group. The beachside location adds a distinctive quality to each session, with the natural surroundings enhancing the overall experience. As opening hours and booking details are not listed online, it is worth reaching out directly to confirm class times, available styles, and availability before arriving — particularly for larger groups who may need to arrange sessions in advance. Given the intimate and personalised nature of the classes, securing a spot ahead of time is advisable, especially during peak tourist season on the island.

Visitor Reviews
I feel incredibly grateful that Mike crossed my path in Koh Samui. 🙏🏼 What started as “just” a yoga class became so much more. Mike is an exceptional teacher attentive, deeply professional, and truly experienced. You can feel that he lives what he teaches. There is no performance, no ego, no need to impress. Just authenticity, presence, and depth. His guidance is precise yet gentle. He sees you, adjusts you with care, and creates a space where you can simply be, without pressure, without show. I followed him to different locations because when you find a teacher like that, you don’t let the opportunity pass. His energy is grounded, humble, and sincere. A truly beautiful soul.🤍🙏🏼 If you are in Koh Samui and looking for real yoga, simple, serious, and deeply human,he is the one! I genuinely feel lucky that our paths crossed. Some teachers teach postures. Rare ones transmit something much deeper. He is one of them. 🙏✨
It was an unforgettable experience! Mika and Alisa create a wonderful place. Their vast knowledge, experience, and understanding make you feel fantastic from the very first minute of the class. The very friendly atmosphere and charming place with the beautiful view and the sea breeze. Alisa, and her wonderful greetings and infectious laughter will remain in my memory for a long time. Mike is definitely the best instructor I've ever had the opportunity to train with. I highly recommend him. WE WILL MISS YOUR CLASSES.
Forget everything else in Samui, just go to Mike Cooper’s yoga class!. Mike is a seriously top-level yoga teacher, charming, and super friendly, so yeah! you’re going to enjoy every single second. Also you have this beautiful view sea. He also sells USB drives with three of his absolute best classes (on a completely different level from anything you’ve ever tried). Do it!! 🫶🏿
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
