Samaya Yoga
Samaya Yoga is a dedicated yoga and wellness studio set within the naturally lush grounds of the Samaya resort in the Maret area of Koh Samui. The studio offers a range of classes including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Qigong, taught by experienced instructors who are noted for their calm, professional approach and ability to create an open, welcoming atmosphere for practitioners of all levels. Classes place a strong emphasis on breathwork as a foundation, making them particularly well-suited to beginners or those looking to deepen a mindful movement practice at their own pace. Asanas are taught gently and progressively, and sessions are held in an open rooftop space surrounded by tropical greenery, lending a naturally serene quality to the experience. Visitors consistently highlight how relaxed they feel after class, and the resort's garden setting — full of flowers and mature plants — adds to the overall sense of calm. For those new to yoga, Samaya is a practical and supportive place to start, with instructors who guide students through poses and breathing techniques without pressure. As opening hours and booking details are not listed online, it is advisable to contact the studio directly or enquire at the Samaya resort upon arrival to confirm current class schedules and availability.

Visitor Reviews
I visited yoga with for beginners and I’m in love with it. We started with some breath work, which is good and helps you to connect with your mind. All asanas are so gentle! So if you’re not flexible like me, you’ll feel the difference after the class. Don’t worry if you’re more advanced, you gonna enjoy it anyways.
I did a morning vinyasa yoga session with Marina and it was great. She taught us the breath work and nice flow of variety of basic poses, feeling so relaxed after. The ambiance was so calm with nature and the sea. Another nice thing to do in Samui holiday. They also provide a yoga mat and blocks for your practice.
I love that place! Classes and teachers are nice and professional 🙏🏻❤️ I go to yoga and qigong classes. In fact the whole Samaya resort is great! Lots of flowers and greens. Very natural 🍀 They also have beautiful events and master classes. Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
