Red Fish Restaurant Koh Samui
Situated on Chaweng Beach Road in Koh Samui's busiest coastal strip, Red Fish Restaurant stands out among the area's dining options for its combination of thoughtful presentation, quality ingredients, and polished service. While many neighbouring spots lean on location alone, this restaurant draws repeat visitors with dishes like baked sea bass with vegetable fried rice, duck curry, and chicken massaman — all of which receive consistent praise for their flavour and careful preparation. The atmosphere leans stylish without being formal, offering a step up from the typical casual beach eatery in terms of attention to detail — from the arrangement of the cutlery to the way dishes are presented at the table. The menu covers Thai classics and seafood, with options that suit both those seeking a full dining experience and those dropping in for a more relaxed meal. Service is frequently noted as professional and attentive. Good to know: A small number of visitors have found certain seafood dishes inconsistent, so it is worth asking staff for recommendations on the day's freshest options. Chaweng Beach Road gets particularly busy during peak season, roughly November through February, so booking ahead or arriving early in the evening is advisable. As opening hours are not currently listed, confirming times directly before visiting is recommended to avoid any inconvenience.

Visitor Reviews
5 stars! Honestly it blows my mind how all these restaurants around here with way simpler service, basic presentation and zero interior are absolutely packed, while this little gem at the end of the high street had us sitting there completely alone!!! The food was fantastic, lovely interior, great service, everything was on point. But what really got us were the prices, like seriously underpriced for what you get. This place deserves so much more attention. Don’t miss it!
A stylish Thai and seafood restaurant with quality ingredients, food, wine and professional service. We simply love the baked sea bass with vegetable fried rice, which goes perfectly with a dry Chardonnay. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is so beautiful and stylish that you feel like you are in any 3-star Michelin restaurant, the only difference is the lower prices.
Great restaurant. Very attentive staff. Large selection of food and drinks. They really pay attention to detail here, from the arrangement of the cutlery to the way the food is served, as well as the food itself. Very tasty and a clear recommendation.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
