Charm Samui Restaurant
Tucked into the atmospheric east end of Fisherman's Village on Koh Samui, Charm Samui is a fusion restaurant that has built a loyal following through a combination of inventive cooking and genuinely personal hospitality. The venue sits within one of the island's most characterful neighbourhoods, where traditional wooden boats and local street life provide an unhurried backdrop well removed from the busier resort strips. Visitors consistently highlight the warmth of owner Renata, whose hands-on presence defines the experience here. Dishes are prepared with a personal touch, and the menu draws on both Thai influences and broader fusion approaches, making it a good fit for tables with varied tastes. The setting is intimate and relaxed, with an atmosphere that feels welcoming rather than formal — reviewers frequently note it as the standout meal of their Koh Samui stay. Good to know: Charm Samui opens daily at 2:00 PM and runs through to 11:00 PM, covering both early and late evening sittings. Given the restaurant's popularity and relatively intimate size, booking ahead is strongly recommended — Renata accepts reservations via WhatsApp and typically responds quickly. Tuesday appears to be the only day the restaurant is closed, so plan accordingly. Checking the menu and making contact before arrival via charmsamui.com is a practical first step, especially for larger groups.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re in Samui go this absolute must-visit! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The owner was extraordinary — so warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about creating a beautiful experience for every guest. The food was simply outstanding. The red snapper was cooked to perfection — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the chocolate fondue… absolutely to die for! It was the perfect indulgent finish to an already incredible meal. The service was flawless, attentive without being intrusive, and every detail felt thoughtfully considered. You can truly feel the heart and soul that goes into this place. Highly recommend and would absolutely be back without hesitation. A true five-star experience in every way!, from Elle, Sydney Australia
What a fantastic find!! I booked via WhatsApp on the day for myself and my family of 8! The host (owner), Renata, got back to me almost instantly and was able to accommodate for us. When we arrived the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the sharing starter and my family all had something different for mains. Everything was perfect! And we couldn’t leave without trying the famous chocolate fondue! Renata came around and introduced herself to us, and continually checked in with us throughout our meal. She was super friendly and made the whole experience extra special. We will definitely be returning before we go home. Definitely check out this beautiful restaurant when you’re in Koh Samui!
Unfortunately, I had the chance to visit only once, but it was truly a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, just as the food is excellent. A place that perfectly combines the warmth of Thailand with the organization and professionalism of a Western-style restaurant. Carlos is a fantastic host, and the entire team truly stands out: attentive, professional, genuinely kind, and always smiling, creating a welcoming and relaxed dining experience from start to finish! Thank you all for the lovely evening you offered me. 🙏 Advance reservation is highly recommended

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
