The Thai Tapas
Located in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, The Thai Tapas applies the small plates concept to Thai and fusion cuisine, producing a format designed around variety and sharing. The menu brings creativity to familiar Thai foundations, with dishes such as fish tacos, chili shrimp, and massaman beef curry offering considered reinterpretations rather than straightforward classics. Ordering three to four plates per person is the approach the kitchen recommends, making it well-suited to groups and couples who want to explore a range of flavours across a single sitting. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed, with the space consistently noted for its cleanliness and energy. Staff are attentive and proactive in guiding first-time visitors through the tapas format, which makes the experience accessible even for those unfamiliar with how small plates dining works. Presentation is taken seriously, and the combination of bold flavours and visual care gives the food a distinctly considered quality that carries through each dish. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 12:30 p.m. on most days, with Tuesday being the exception at 1:30 p.m., and closes at 10:00 p.m. across all open days. No reservation information is publicly listed, so arriving during the early afternoon is a practical way to avoid a potential wait. The Facebook page serves as the primary online presence and is worth checking before visiting for any updates on current offerings.

Visitor Reviews
The Thai Tapas was hands down the best meal we had while on Koh Samui! We loved the innovative takes on Thai classics, and every dish was more delicious than the last. Beyond just a tasty meal, the cocktails were phenomenal and a fun experience in themselves (totally recommend the Magic Potion!). Our server, April, was fantastic and took our experience from great to excellent. She was super attentive, had a great sense of humor and was an absolute joy to chat with. She was so hospitable and took great care of us! We walked out with full bellies and a full heart :) Definitely recommend a visit!!
The service was superb, food came out quick and servers were super attentive. The ambience was lively and super clean as well. About the food itself,we tried the fish tacos which is one of their best seller. I loved the green sauce which came with it. The lamb curry had super soft lamb, which went well with their differently coloured rice. The chilli prawn gravy was my favourite. Definitely don’t miss the mango tarte tartin for dessert. For our drinks, the peach snapps and liomoncello were superb. The peach iced tea had an interesting hue to it.
If you are looking for an incredible dining experience, this is a spot you absolutely must visit! From the second you walk in, the service is top-notch. The staff is so helpful—they immediately explained exactly how the tapas concept works and suggested the perfect number of dishes for our group so we didn't over-order (or under-order!). Every single dish was incredibly delicious. The flavors are bold, authentic, and beautifully presented. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Thai food and impeccable service!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
