Lokah Sukhah
Lokah Sukhah is a quietly distinctive wellness space and small guesthouse tucked in the Bo Phut area of Koh Samui, within easy reach of the charming Fisherman's Village. Run by a warm, hands-on family team — with host Grace frequently mentioned by name in visitor reviews — it offers an unusually personal experience that blends accommodation with yoga classes, sunrise hikes, and private wellness sessions. The combination of lodging and active wellness programming makes it a practical base for travellers who want more than a standard hotel stay. Guests describe the rooms as cosy, clean, and well-equipped for the price, with a welcoming atmosphere that suits solo travellers, couples, and families with children alike. The yoga and movement classes led by Grace draw particular praise, with visitors noting her ability to adapt sessions to individual needs and comfort levels. The sunrise hike with a private class has been highlighted as a standout experience, appealing even to those who would not typically seek out traditional yoga settings. Good to know: Lokah Sukhah appears to operate with a degree of flexibility that rewards direct communication with the hosts. Travellers interested in wellness sessions — especially early morning hikes or private classes — are advised to arrange these in advance, as Grace coordinates pickups and scheduling personally. No website is currently listed, so reaching out through booking platforms or direct contact is the recommended approach before arrival.

Visitor Reviews
Grace picked me up at my hotel at 4.45am for our Sunrise hike and private class. It was a highlight of the trip! Got so many likes for the photos. I made it clear to her that I don’t do OM or yoga meditation, she totally respected me and adjusted for our private! We took some really beautiful time-lapse videos for the sunrise and our movement, ate some yummy fruits and chat! Grace is so friendly, genuine, and kind. So easy to open up to her and felt like we’ve known each other for much longer. I’m happy to have met her, and how we could share our life stories, even our different beliefs. I highly recommend anyone to try this experience with Grace. P.S. even the local hotel staff saw my photos and wanted to try out Grace’s sunrise hike! If you are in Samui, don’t miss out!
I feel so thankful to have found Grace at Lokah Sukhah when visiting the island. It’s a hidden gem, such a beautiful space and Grace is a wonderful teacher. I had the most amazing flow with her, the perfect mix of intensity, and some juicy yin. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, I floated away feeling amazing, can’t wait to visit again. The studio is heaven on earth. A small and totally dedicated class. All equipment brand new, really beautiful mats. I can’t recommend Grace and the amazing yoga shala enough 🙏🏼 thank you for looking after me :)
Great boutique hotel in fisherman's village run by a lovely family. The rooms are cozy and clean and the staff are always on hand if needed. Very accommodating with children and extra beds and the staff/owner always made a special animal out of the towels for my daughter which she loved. Friday night is walking Street in the village with lots of street food, live music and stalls. Great fun and lovely to experience in Thailand. Breakfast is good too. Highly recommend.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
