At Home Restaurant
Tucked along Hua Hin's main Phet Kasem Road, this family-run Thai restaurant has quietly built a devoted following among both locals and travellers. Reviewers consistently highlight the warmth of the staff as a defining feature — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes guests feel genuinely welcomed rather than simply served. The name, it seems, is well earned. The menu leans into authentic Thai cooking with a particular strength in seafood, offering dishes that reward careful reading. Visitors note the complexity of flavours, generous portion sizes, and a level of cleanliness that stands out. The dining room is relaxed and unpretentious, making it equally suited to a casual lunch or a longer evening meal. Prices are described by guests as very reasonable, with the overall value a recurring theme across reviews. Good to know: At Home Restaurant is open every day of the week from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, so it fits easily into most itineraries regardless of your schedule. Despite its strong reputation, reviewers note that it can be surprisingly quiet at dinner — which means shorter waits and attentive service, but also suggests arriving without a reservation should generally be fine. No booking contact or website is listed, so simply turning up is the practical approach. The restaurant sits directly on Phet Kasem Road, making it straightforward to find without navigating side streets.

Visitor Reviews
Had dinner here two nights in a row. the portions are generous and the dishes were rich in flavor. The waiter was so kind and welcoming! Excellent service, reasonable price and very clean surroundings. Highly recommend !🥰
Incredibly authentic and unique seafood dishes at this restaurant. Take your time with the menu and you will see how diverse the dishes are. The complex flavours and texture of each bite was heavenly. I also found the price to be very reasonable considering the quality of food and setting. I posted the picture of what I ordered… best described as (don’t laugh because i don’t know how to word it) a flaming delicate egg soufflé topped with plump prawns and calamari…heavenly!! Also had a simple raw veggie plate with Cha-om egg squares (so unique), the dipping sauce was something I remember from my mother’s cooking. Disregard any bad reviews, from a food lover like me (who only leaves reviews when the experience is extraordinary), you must try this restaurant.
Great restaurant — super clean! Sorry for the half eaten pics of their wonderful food. Can’t believe there aren’t more people here at dinner time. Seems to be family-run, and the service couldn’t have been any friendlier. The food was lovely and easily the best value for money I’ve seen so far. I don’t usually leave many reviews, but I think I’ve just found my new local spot!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
