Thai Cooking Course Hua Hin

5.0(320 reviews)

This cooking school on Phet Kasem Road offers one of Hua Hin's most immersive culinary experiences, pairing visits to a local wet market with hands-on cooking classes led by experienced instructors. The market tour component sets it apart from typical cooking courses — participants learn to identify and understand traditional Thai ingredients in context before heading back to cook with them, giving the experience genuine depth rather than simply following a recipe.

Classes are structured, well-organised, and guided step by step, making them suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some kitchen experience. Participants cook a selection of classic Thai dishes and sit down to eat what they have prepared at the end of the session. The atmosphere is interactive and relaxed, with instructors on hand throughout to explain techniques and answer questions. Pickup from Bluport Mall is available, making logistics straightforward for visitors staying in central Hua Hin.

The school operates seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so it fits easily into most itineraries. Booking ahead is strongly recommended, particularly during peak travel periods, as class sizes appear to be kept manageable to ensure personal attention. Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind exposing to cooking ingredients, and come hungry — eating the finished meal is part of the experience.

The cooking course at this place was a wonderful experience — truly one of the best activities we had in Thailand. Everything is very well organized, and the owner personally makes sure that everything runs perfectly. The cooking instructor is amazing. She has a great sense of humor, endless patience, and incredible experience, which makes the whole class both fun and educational. Highly recommended! I’m very grateful for this experience.

A wonderful experience! We visited the 100 year old food market and learned all about the difference ingredients which was fabulous. Then learned to cook a number of dishes and also enjoy eating them. The class was run very efficiently and very easy to follow along. The food we cooked was delicious. And the staff that ran it were superb. I highly recommend.

My second time at Thai Cooking Course Hua Hin & it didn’t disappoint yet again. The chefs did a brilliant job demonstrating how to prepare the dishes. We enjoyed the market tour & learnt about the ingredients we were going to be using. Great job guys

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
