We-La-Dee Cafe & Restaurant

4.7(1,489 reviews)$$$$

Book a table. That's the main thing, because this San Sai restaurant fills up, and reviewers who turned up hopeful have been walked across the road to a partner venue, My Wine, instead. Worth avoiding if you've come for the room, which is the real draw: warm, carefully done, with a collection of Star Wars characters on display and a teddy theme running through it. There's a private zone if you're a group who wants a bit of separation.

The menu runs Thai and Western side by side, and it's long. Flavours land light and balanced rather than fierce, so it suits mixed tables and anyone travelling with kids. The Thai dishes get the warmest write-ups. Pasta is less of a sure thing, going by the carbonara that came out thinner than it should have. The wine list is short, so don't build the evening around it. What people keep coming back to is the service, which is attentive without hovering, and the prices, which sit well below what the setting suggests.

We-La-Dee Cafe & Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is simply delicious – every dish I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What's even better is how reasonably priced everything is, especially given the high quality. Beyond the fantastic food, the service truly stands out. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is enjoyable. They're always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations. As an added bonus, it's wonderful to see that We-La-Dee is accessible, featuring a convenient wheelchair ramp. This thoughtful inclusion makes it a welcoming spot for everyone. I highly recommend We-La-Dee Cafe & Restaurant for anyone looking for a superb meal, excellent service, and great value. You won't be disappointed!

The restaurant is hiding from main highway. It has nice ambience with collection of Star Wars characters. The food is tasty with wide varieties menu but wine list is limited. Service is second to none. I went there on weekdays, so parking is plentiful with efficient parking staff. The restaurant is worth many revisit.

Teddy-themed. Beautifully designed - visually impressive. The decor is warm, elegant, and visually impressive — perfect for families, groups, or anyone looking for a relaxing dining experience. There’s a private zone available, which adds a nice touch for more intimate gatherings. The menu offers a fusion of Western and Thai dishes with wide appeal. Most flavors are light and balanced — suitable for various palates. The carbonara could have been creamier and thicker, the Thai dishes were well-presented. Service was attentive and professional. Overall, it's a lovely place— especially for those who appreciate charming interiors. Highly recommend making a reservation during peak hours.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
