Kolae Pool Bar
Kolae Pool Bar sits within the Courtyard by Marriott in Phuket Town, offering a laid-back poolside escape from the busy streets of the city. The bar is noted for its refreshing breeze, pleasant views, and a solid selection of craft beers, making it a popular spot for those looking to unwind without venturing far from the town centre. Staff have been consistently praised by visitors for their friendliness and attentive service.
One of the bar's more appealing draws is its day pass option, available to non-hotel guests at 450 baht per person. This grants access to the pool area along with a 450-baht credit to spend on food and drinks — a straightforward arrangement that works well for a casual day out. Food and drink prices are on the higher side compared to local spots outside, so it is worth treating the credit as a set budget rather than expecting unlimited inclusions.
The bar is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, making it best suited for a daytime or early evening visit rather than a late-night outing. Guests considering the day pass should clarify the terms at the front desk to avoid any confusion about what is and is not covered. Swimwear and casual attire are the natural fit here, and arriving earlier in the day is a good idea to make the most of the pool access.

Reviews from Google
Quite shocked that somebody posted here a bad review because of her own incapability of understanding clear terms. For sure you can invest only the 450 baht you paid. Everything on top consumed has to be paid later. Ridiculously unnecessary review... It's such a great and pleasant opportunity the hotel offers here to non-guests of the house! Great pool, atmosphere - awesome cocktails, food and service!!! Especially on a very hot day, being in old town, one thing to consider. Loved it! And yes - it is a higher standard hotel with higher prices. Please do understand the deal and the value given and don't be a cheap show, blaming others for your own failures.
Kolae Pool Bar exceeded expectations with its breathtaking view and refreshing breeze. The staff's friendliness added to the inviting atmosphere. The selection of craft beers was impressive, offering a delightful variety. A perfect spot to unwind and savor quality drinks amidst a scenic backdrop. Highly recommended for a memorable experience.
Quite shocked about their day pass. We paid at the front desk, staff explained that « food and beverage was included » for 450 baht per person. I thought this was a good deal! We took two day passes, and went straight to the pool. 1 menu for the drinks and 1 for the food was presented to us, and we were informed that these 2 menus were included in our day passes. Thought this was quite a long list but still, ordered 2 drinks. Came back and asked again if I ordered a second time will it still be included: barmaid said yes, all included. We enjoyed our time by the pool on their great sunbeds. Later on the afternoon, we went to order food and more drinks, asked a THIRD TIME if it was included : same answer « yeah yeah included », still thinking this is quite weird but okay, if the STAFF say so. We enjoyed our meal, ordered a Grab to go to the airport as we had a flight soon. And then our nightmare begins : « here is your bill ». It was 1700 baht. Thankfully, we talked to the manager, he asked that we pay 50% of the bill which is enormous as we had been told ALL DAY that it was included. He explained that if we wanted to leave we can. But I do work in a hotel in France so I could not leave like that, as I do understand their reaction, but still think the situation was outrageous and the bill should have been offered, as I asked and asked and asked if it was included and nobody told me about the bill until I left. Overall, pool was amazing, sunbeds also, and service during the day was perfect. But just know that NOTHING except the pool is included.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
