Bebop Live Music Bar
Situated on Yaowarad Road in Phuket's characterful old town, Bebop Live Music Bar has built a loyal following among both locals and visiting travellers drawn in by its consistent live music program and relaxed social atmosphere. The bar recently moved to a larger, newly designed space that regulars say has elevated the experience, offering more room without losing the intimate feel that made the original venue popular. Jazz is the heart of the programming here, with soulful and energetic performances running most nights. Sundays tend to shift toward pop and easy-listening with jazz influences, giving the week a varied feel. Beyond the music, the cocktails draw consistent praise from visitors, and the mid-range pricing keeps the evening accessible. The crowd is a genuine mix of expats, locals, and tourists, which contributes to the warm and unpretentious vibe the bar is known for. Good to know: Bebop does not currently list its opening hours online, so it is worth reaching out or checking their social media before visiting to confirm performance times and any entry requirements. The Yaowarad Road location sits within easy walking distance of Phuket Old Town's restaurants and heritage streets, making it a natural final stop on an evening spent exploring the area. Casual dress is appropriate, and arriving a little before the live sets begin is a good way to secure a decent seat.

Visitor Reviews
Best place for jazz bar. The music was awesome. I was there 2 nights in a roll. What an experience!!! On Sunday night, the music was more to pop songs and easy listening with some hints of jazz. The singer was awesome and very entertaining. On Monday, the jazz band was magnificent with some acid style from the 2 saxophones and 1 trombone made the soud truly lively. And the female singer delivered such an effortless and smooth vibes. Moreover, the cocktails were still nice and the snacks were yummy. The place looks cozy and the space was just right so you wouldn't feel lonely though you're there alone. I would rate the jazz live band here is the best compared to the jazz bars I went in Bangkok. Truly recommended.
One of our favorite jazz bars has moved from its former cozy space to a much larger and beautifully designed new location ✨ The atmosphere feels even better, while the soulful and lively jazz music remains as amazing as ever 🎷 There’s plenty of space to sit back and relax, as well as room to get up and dance 😁 The premium drinks are outstanding — the cocktails are beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious 🍸 A perfect place to make your night truly special.
Love Bebop Music Bar. I've been there many times and always enjoy the music and the atmosphere. I look forward to checking out their new location on my next evening visit to Phuket City.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
