B POCHA
Tucked along Yaowarad Road in Phuket's Old Town, B Pocha has carved out a niche as one of the area's go-to spots for lovers of hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and Afrobeats. The bar leans heavily into a 90s music vibe, with a resident DJ spinning old-school tracks that visitors consistently single out as a highlight. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff have drawn repeated praise for their friendliness and willingness to go the extra mile for guests. As a bar rather than a full club, the space is on the smaller side, which means the music carries hard — conversations can be a challenge when the DJ is in full swing. The drink menu includes cocktails such as piña coladas, though at least one reviewer has noted that beer options are limited and priced on the higher side. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable, and the service is attentive throughout the night. Good to know: B Pocha is best suited to those who want to dance or soak up the music rather than settle in for a quiet catch-up over drinks. Given the compact size of the venue, it can fill up quickly, so arriving earlier in the evening is a reasonable strategy to secure a spot before the crowd builds.

Visitor Reviews
Dope place. It’s not a club , more of a bar. The DJ spins old school hiphop, rnb, reggae - MUSIC IS SO GOOD. The staffs are super friendly and fun! One of them went out to buy soju peach for us because it’s OOS. SO NICE RIGHT?! Definitely recommend you to check this place out 😌
They’ve got solid piña colada’s. The music is so loud for such a small place so you can’t speak and chill with your friends. That was the only issue.
Hidden gem !!! Super hip hop bar for the 90s , amazing music and you can be yourself , highly recommend🩷🤩
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
