The house band is the reason to come. Blue Flames play live with two lead vocalists, a man and a woman, both of whom get singled out in reviews for hitting the high notes, backed by drums, lead guitar and keys. If you want live music in Pattaya without the crush of the busier strips, this is a good bet. People who drink here say it rarely feels packed, even during happy hour.

The rest is straightforward roadhouse stuff, and none the worse for it. Two pool tables, free to play and in good condition. Cocktails and shots, cold beer, and a food menu that regulars describe as cheap. Happy hour runs 3pm to 7pm daily and the beer prices at that time are the sort that keep people in their seats. Staff get a lot of credit, particularly for birthdays and group nights, so if you've got a celebration in mind it's worth calling ahead.

Dress is casual, nobody's checking. It's a walk from the Night Market, or a baht bus ride from most central hotels.
