Krua SamrubKhao thai cuisine ครัว สำรับข้าว
Tucked away on Phra Tam Nak 5 in Pattaya, Krua SamrubKhao serves traditional Thai cuisine with a home-cooked sensibility that sets it apart from the tourist-oriented restaurants more common in the area. The kitchen draws consistently strong praise for dishes that feel rooted in genuine Thai culinary tradition rather than adapted for foreign palates. Standout dishes mentioned by visitors include lemongrass fried chicken wings with tamarind sauce, prawn head butter fried rice, whole crispy sea bass, green curry, and pan-fried scallops. The atmosphere is described as welcoming, with attentive staff adding to the overall experience. While the overwhelming majority of guests leave highly satisfied, at least one visitor has reported an issue with undercooked chicken, so those with specific dietary concerns may want to communicate them clearly when ordering. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:00 to 22:00, making it a practical option for both lunch and dinner. As the venue does not appear to have an official website, reservations likely require a direct visit or local contact. Given the small size implied by the intimate reviews and its residential side-street location, arriving earlier in the evening on weekends is advisable to secure a table without a long wait.

Visitor Reviews
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Pattaya! I never write reviews but had to for this place because it was sooo good. I ordered the egg fried rice, buttered mushrooms, and a spicy shrimp dish. Everything was excellent and perfectly seasoned. I’ve been to Thailand many times and this was the best shrimp dish I’ve ever had in Thailand! Service was great and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. The owner/chef was also super nice and let me pet her very cute dog lol
Best Thai food in Thailand, it was like a home cooked meal. We had the whole sea bass fish, it was crispy and fresh amazing. Chicken wings are to die for. Green curry was very tasty and had a nice flavour of keffa lines. The owners dog was cute. Definitely try this place.
Amazing place with awesome food and ambiance! Lemongrass fried chicken wings with Tamarind sauce is amazing as is the Prawn Head Butter Fried Rice. Scallops we're also very delicious! Staff is super friendly and helpful here as well! Highly recommended!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
