PAIHIGH
Perched above the rooftops of Pai, this laid-back spot combines a café, bar, and hostel into one chilled-out destination with a rooftop balcony that frames sweeping mountain views — particularly striking at sunset. The vibe is unhurried and social, drawing travellers who want somewhere to slow down, sip something good, and take in the scenery without any fuss. The coffee gets consistent praise from visitors, with the iced cappuccino a standout order. Cannabis is available for purchase, making this a popular choice for those looking to combine a smoke session with a scenic outlook and a well-made drink. The host has built a strong reputation for being genuinely welcoming, and the hand-picked music playing throughout the day adds to the easy atmosphere. Hostel accommodation is also available on-site, with clean dorm rooms and terrace access where water and tea are provided. Located just a short walk from Pai's walking street, the venue is open daily, running from 8am on most days and 10am on Sundays, with a closing time of 8pm across the week. Given the rooftop setting and the views, late afternoon is an ideal time to visit for those wanting to catch the sunset over the mountains. No booking information is listed, so walking in appears to be the norm.

Visitor Reviews
The best spot in Pai. Great Barista, really kind and chill dude, who also plays great hand picked music throughout the day. Good flower for fair prices. Beautiful Sunsets and great view in general along with immaculate vibes. Only sad thing is, that he doesn't serve any food. I don't know about the Hostel part 🙏
Very kind Staff, just a few minutes from walking street, small and clean dorms, amazing rooftop! Perfect to chill out :) extended my stay here three times!
My favourite cafe in Pai without a doubt! The receptionist is a very sweet guy. Good views, good Thai tea and good weed! What more can you ask for? ☕😇

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
