GreenBar
Tucked away in the laid-back mountain town of Pai, GreenBar has built a loyal following among travellers looking for somewhere unhurried and genuinely welcoming. The bar draws a relaxed crowd with its comfortable seating, open-air setting, and reliably good views of the surrounding hills at sunset — making early evening one of the most popular times to show up. The vibe here leans firmly toward the chill end of the spectrum. Visitors can expect live music that complements rather than overwhelms conversation, a bonfire to gather around as the night cools down, and a drinks menu that includes local beer and smoothies. The staff are frequently singled out in reviews for being warm and attentive, which adds to the easy, unhurried feel of the place. Compared to some of the busier bars in Pai, GreenBar tends to be easier to get a seat at and lighter on the wallet. GreenBar is open every day from 10:00 to 23:30, so it works equally well as an afternoon wind-down spot or an evening out. Arriving around sunset is the most popular choice, so getting there a little earlier on weekends is a smart move to secure a good seat before the crowd builds.

Visitor Reviews
Such a nice, relaxed bar. Perfect for sunset. I’d tried some other bars in the area but struggled to get a seat, they were busy and expensive. Found Greenbar and wish I found it sooner, live music during sunset with plenty of seats around, great vibe

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
