Cabanas Beach Club

4.8(202 reviews)

Cabanas Beach Club brings a polished yet unpretentious beach club experience to the quieter Bo Put side of Koh Samui. With a well-maintained pool, direct beach access, and a DJ playing throughout the day, it strikes a balance between lively atmosphere and laid-back coastal relaxation. The venue is part of a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property, which shows in the design and upkeep, though the overall mood remains casual and welcoming rather than exclusionary. Food is a genuine draw here, not an afterthought. Visitors highlight standout dishes including a Thai-flavoured seabass and salmon pizza, suggesting a menu that blends international and local influences with care. The service earns consistent praise, with staff noted for their friendliness and attentiveness. Sunbeds are available with a minimum spend of around 1,500 THB for two, which goes toward food and drinks. Good to know: the DJ typically plays during afternoon hours, making mid-afternoon arrival a good option for catching the full atmosphere. Bo Put sits on Koh Samui's north coast, away from the busier Chaweng strip, so expect a noticeably calmer crowd. The dry season between December and February offers the most reliable beach conditions, but the club's pool and covered areas make it a worthwhile stop even on overcast days.

Visitor Reviews

We stumbled here on a cloudy afternoon in Koh samui after our hotel had no sunbeds left, and so glad we did! It was a Saturday and there was a DJ on all day playing vibey music, one of the lovely hosts moved 2 bean bags near the pool for us to have a fab seat and get the full experience. The drinks were fab and so was the food! And the views of the ocean insane too. 1,000 baht min spend redeemable on food on drink is so worth it !! Perf last day - thanks cabanas !!

A very chill place with a perfectly clean pool and well-maintained amenities. There’s a DJ playing throughout the day, which adds a great vibe. They offer a wide variety of food options, and the cutest highlight of all is the ice cream bar by the beach. Overall, I truly loved the experience. While seating space by the beach is a bit limited, the beach itself is beautiful. It’s a great spot for both friends and families, and they also have some really nice bars.

What a great place to stay for a day! Great atmosphere and music. We had a live dj playing from 14-17.. The food is amazing really never had such an amazing fried Thai flavoured seabass.. The waitresses are all so sweet and nice. Oil, our waitress made our stay unforgettable. Loved it and recommend it to have an unforgettable beach day in a classy way at Koh Samui!

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars

Carry Your Passport or a Copy

Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.

Know the Closing Times

Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.

Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously

Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
