King Bar
Tucked at the entrance of Soi Bintabaht in Hua Hin, King Bar is a neighbourhood bar with a reputation for genuine hospitality and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere. The venue is well-kept and spacious, making it a comfortable spot to unwind whether visiting solo or with a group. Football screens and a pool table give it a lively edge without overwhelming the laid-back vibe that regulars clearly appreciate. The bar is run by owner Khun Odd, whose warm and attentive presence is frequently highlighted by visitors as a defining part of the experience. Staff are praised for being both friendly and efficient, and drink prices are noted as reasonable — a welcome combination in a town that can vary widely on both counts. Cold beer is a reliable constant, and the clean surroundings make it an easy choice for those who prefer their night out without any rough edges. King Bar is open every day from noon until 11pm, making it equally suited to an afternoon drink or an evening out. The early opening hours mean it works well as a pre-dinner stop or a casual place to catch a daytime sports match. Given its location on Soi Bintabaht, it sits within easy reach of Hua Hin's central area, so it pairs naturally with a wider evening exploring the street's other options.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
