Red Bar
Tucked along Soi Selakam in Hua Hin, Red Bar draws a sociable mix of locals and travellers looking for a relaxed but lively night out. The bar has built a solid reputation for its cocktails, cold beers, and an atmosphere that manages to be energetic without feeling overwhelming. Live music is a regular feature, leaning toward soft rock, and the sound levels are kept at a level where conversation is still comfortable — a balance that visitors consistently appreciate. Sport fans also find a home here, with TVs set up for watching matches, and complimentary snacks like peanuts adding a generous touch. Happy hour runs until 20:00, making early evening a particularly good time to settle in and take advantage of the drink prices. There is also a pool area, adding another dimension to the venue beyond the bar itself. Staff are generally noted as friendly and attentive, contributing to the relaxed vibe. It is worth noting that, like many bars in Hua Hin, the surrounding street has a more lively scene of its own, so visitors should arrive with a sense of what kind of evening they are looking for. Red Bar itself maintains a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere that appeals to those after good drinks, decent music, and easy company. Checking ahead about sports schedules or live music nights is advisable if either is a priority for the visit.

Visitor Reviews
Cheap beer. Happy hour until 2000 hrs. Staff were very nice and helpful. Music was great and not too loud. They did not have bar girls there but if that’s your thing they were all over the street. The staff kept the vendors from bothering us too much but allowed us to engage with them if we wanted. One pool table. Two tvs. Great people watching.
Wonderful atmosphere, great drinks, reasonably priced. Great, great life music - amazing. But also standard music is great - soft rock. I loved it there. Great staff :) Definitely recommended.
Very very nice bar service and great crowd. Fabulous cocktails and good fun at the pool too
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
