Cheers Restaurant & Bar
Cheers Restaurant & Bar has built a strong reputation in Hua Hin as a venue that genuinely delivers on both food and atmosphere. Open daily from 9am until midnight, it functions equally well as a casual dining spot, an afternoon watering hole, and an evening bar — making it one of the more versatile options in a town known for its laid-back nightlife scene. The crowd tends to draw a healthy mix of expats, travellers, and locals, giving it a sociable but unpretentious feel.
The food is a genuine highlight here, which sets it apart from many bars in the area. Visitor experiences point to standout dishes including steamed sea bass with lime and chilli and Vietnamese salad rolls, with portions described as generous. The menu spans restaurant-quality cooking alongside the kind of drinks and atmosphere you would expect from a pub or sports bar setting, with live music adding to the mix on occasion.
Pricing sits in the mid-range, making it accessible without feeling budget-basic. The staff consistently receive praise for being attentive and welcoming, which contributes significantly to the overall experience. Checking the Facebook page before visiting is worthwhile for updates on live events or entertainment nights. For those who prefer a quieter meal, earlier in the evening offers a more relaxed pace, while the atmosphere picks up as the night progresses.

Still thinking about the Vietnamese Salad Rolls months later! I added prawns, and the sauce they served with it was absolutely immaculate. The surprise of salmon roe inside took it to another level. Fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable—highly recommend!
Best meal we've had whilst in Thailand and that's saying a lot. The steamed sea bass with lime and chilli was incredible, perfectly cooked and a very big portion. Highly recommend

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
