Chomchomchan Distillery
Chomchomchan Distillery is a large-scale bar and entertainment venue in Hua Hin that draws comparisons to Bangkok's famous Tawandang-style restaurant bars — think spacious interiors, strong sound and lighting production, and a lively atmosphere that punches well above the typical beach-town offering. The venue is fully air-conditioned, smoke-free indoors, and built to handle a crowd, making it a standout option for a big night out in a city where nightlife options tend to skew quieter. The crowd here leans local, typically in the 30s and 40s age range, which gives the place an authentic, non-touristy energy. Prices are notably more affordable than equivalent venues in Bangkok, and the attentive service adds to the appeal. A pool bar rounds out the experience for those after something more relaxed, and a separate restaurant across the carpark — reportedly serving an excellent pork chop — is worth factoring into the evening. On the practical side, it is worth arriving with a group to make the most of the venue's scale and atmosphere. As opening hours are not publicly listed, calling ahead or checking social media before visiting is advisable, particularly on weekdays when hours may differ from weekends.

Huge restaurant bar. In the concept of Tawandang restaurant. Very impressed. Service is attentive. Prices are very affordable, not the Bangkok prices. Customers are mostly locals and are 30s 40s.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
