The Big Market Jomtien
This open-air night market in the Jomtien area of Pattaya draws a mix of locals and visitors looking for a low-key alternative to the busier markets in the region. Operating every evening from 4 PM to 1 AM, it offers a comfortable browsing experience with a noticeably spacious and uncluttered layout — something regulars frequently highlight as a major draw over more crowded nearby options. Food is the main attraction, with stalls covering a wide range of Thai classics alongside more unexpected options like pizza and pasta. The adventurous can find insect snacks, while those after something more familiar will have no trouble tracking down grilled meats and other crowd-pleasers. Beyond eating, the market occasionally hosts live music and has featured an open-air movie screening and an animal petting area, giving it a community gathering feel that suits families as well as solo visitors. Seating is generally plentiful, and the overall vibe leans casual rather than commercial. Worth noting: some stalls close or entertainment is cancelled during rain, so dry evenings tend to offer the fuller experience. Many vendors operate on a cash-only basis, so bringing Thai baht is advisable. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking the stalls, and arriving with an appetite is the best way to make the most of what the market does well.

Visitor Reviews
Nice place for a walkabout. Stall include insect delicacy to succulent pork ribs. Plenty of things to see and do including an animal petting booth to a open air movie screening. Very family friendly friendly and good clean fun
First time here today . The market was less crowded and quiet today , it might be due to the rain started during evening time , the live concert was not available and some of the stalls are closed as well . Food was great , price are all cheap and affordable . Just disappointed with the salmon sashimi stall .. 6 pcs of thin cut salmon for 100b and it was just all shredded carrot underneath . Totally not worth the price , other than that all are good . Staff and crew from all stalls that I bought my food are very friendly and helpful . I will still be back again next time 🥰
Charming, neat and clean night market. Much less crowded than the Jomtien Night Market. I liked that. Food offering for such a market for me was complete. Thai range of foods as well as pizza and pasta stalls and pastry. Don't expect culinary highlights, but this is not why you visit such a market. Plenty of drink stalls and plenty of seating available to spend a stressless evening.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
