Yai Mak Market
Situated on Jomtiensaineung Road in the Jomtien area of Pattaya, this open-air night market operates every day of the week from 3 PM until 3 AM, drawing a mixed crowd of locals, tourists, and a notably international clientele. Visitors should be aware that while the market has a traditional flea market and shopping element — clothing stalls, tourist shirts, and everyday goods — it functions primarily as a food court environment, with a significant portion of the vendors and atmosphere catering to Russian-speaking visitors rather than offering a strictly traditional Thai market experience. Food and drink are the main draw. Expect a wide selection of ready-to-eat Thai dishes, grilled seafood, pad Thai, noodle stands, and fresh tropical fruits. The venue is noted for being clean with plenty of seating, decent live music, and a relaxed atmosphere. It is accessible by Baht bus for around 10 baht, and most of the surrounding area is walkable. Compared to the nearby Jomtien Night Market, the atmosphere here is generally considered quieter and less crowded. Good to know: Yai Mak Market, the Jomtien Night Market, and Big Market all sit along the same road, so it is worth confirming the location before arriving to avoid confusion between the three. Early evening is a good time to visit for a calmer experience with full food availability, while later hours bring more energy. Cash is the practical choice at most stalls.

Visitor Reviews
I think this place is cool. It's clean. Plenty of seats. Many choices of food and seafood is fresh. Music is good. The singer has good voice, not lousy. You definitely can find something to eat and find something to drink. Taste of food, you just have to take the bet, just try to buy small amount of you like it then you buy more. But so far so good, at least the place and the seat is clean, I am happy and easily have a good time. I was there alone, eating alone. I didn't feel I was lonely at all.
Great night market , on beach road, accessible by Baht bus (10bt). Lots of food, drink, entertainment, shopping. Walkable to most everything else 🙏🏼👍🏼

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
