MAYs Pattaya
Tucked into the Muang Pattaya area, MAYs Pattaya is a Thai restaurant that has built a strong following among both tourists and locals for good reason. The interior is thoughtfully designed with a contemporary, calming aesthetic that sets it apart from the typical Pattaya dining scene, and the kitchen takes clear pride in presentation — dishes arrive looking as considered as they taste. The air-conditioned space offers genuine relief from the heat, making it a comfortable retreat whether dropping in for lunch or settling in for a longer evening meal. The menu leans into refined Thai cooking, with food consistently praised for quality and creativity. May's mango cake is a standout dessert that comes highly recommended by visitors, so leaving room at the end of the meal is worthwhile. Service is warm and attentive as a rule, though a small number of reviewers have noted occasional slip-ups such as wrong orders or forgotten desserts — arriving without a time crunch and checking in with staff helps avoid any friction. Pricing sits at the mid-range to higher end of the scale for Pattaya, and while some visitors find it pricier than expected, the general consensus is that the quality and overall experience justify the cost. MAYs is open every day from noon until 11pm, offering good flexibility around beach days or sightseeing. Reservations can be made in advance through the website at thisismays.com/book-pattaya, and booking ahead is advisable during busy periods, as the restaurant's reputation means tables fill quickly.

Visitor Reviews
Found this place by accident because we were looking for a place with air conditioning and found this gem. The restaurant was beautifully designed and the staff was super friendly. We got so many things on the menu and everything was beautifully placed and equally delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever go to Pattaya. I was also shocked that the employees could speak Mandarin because they spent two years in Taiwan! We ordered much more than what we should have, but we didn't regret it!
This is such a wonderful experience. The food was all presented so beautifully it feels like the top 1 percentile. The restaurant decor has a unique welcoming and calming feel. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and very helpful with their menu explanations. Everything we tried tasted wonderfully delightful. We recommend you try everything you want. We will come back again!
A very pleasant restaurant with a calm, cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and, above all, excellent food served beautifully. For dessert, I had May's mango cake, which was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it if you want to swap street food for a culinary experience for a change. ♥️♥️

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
