Royal Garden Plaza

4.2(7,488 reviews)

Royal Garden Plaza sits right on Beach Road, making it one of the first landmarks visitors encounter when walking along Pattaya Beach. Beyond its convenient location, the mall draws a steady crowd thanks to its resident attraction, Ripley's Believe It or Not, which adds an entertainment dimension that sets it apart from a standard shopping centre. The upper floors feature themed design elements, including a horror-styled level that has proven popular with visitors looking for something a little different. Inside, shoppers will find a broad mix of international chain stores, footwear, fashion, and a Tops supermarket for everyday essentials. The dining options cover a range of cuisines, with cafes and restaurants spread across multiple floors, giving visitors plenty of reasons to linger. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and air-conditioned, offering welcome relief from Pattaya's heat. Royal Garden Plaza is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00, making it a practical option for both afternoon shopping and an evening out. It suits families well, particularly given the entertainment options alongside the retail. Those primarily interested in high-end boutiques or local markets may find the selection a little mainstream, but for a well-rounded, convenient stop in central Pattaya, it covers most bases reliably. The official website at royalgardenplaza.co.th is worth checking for any events or promotions before visiting.

Visitor Reviews

I had a fantastic experience at Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya! The mall offers a great mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment, making it a perfect destination for both locals and tourists. The atmosphere is vibrant and well-maintained, with friendly staff everywhere. I particularly enjoyed the wide variety of international restaurants and the beautiful views from the upper levels. The shopping options are also top-notch, with both well-known brands and unique local boutiques. If you’re in Pattaya, this place is definitely worth a visit for a fun, relaxing time!

This is the first shopping mall you see when walking along Pattaya Beach. First of all, the interior is very cool and sells a variety of items. As soon as you enter the entrance, you can see Tops and Starbucks. This week is the Lunar New Year holiday, so a team playing Chinese songs will be performing. You can walk along the beach, loosen up your sweat, and relax with a delicious coffee. I recommend it.

This mall is absolutely beautiful! It has everything—delicious food, a full grocery, great shopping, shoes, and more. Plus, it features amazing entertainment like Ripley's Believe It or Not, just like in Pattaya. A perfect place to relax and enjoy your day!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls

Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Arrive Early or Late

Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.

Be Cautious with Tailors

Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
