Come after dark or don't bother. This is one of Pattaya's newer night markets, an open-air spread of stalls in Bang Lamung, and like every market of its kind in Thailand it only really works once the sun's down and the vendors have set up properly. The listing says open 24 hours, seven days a week, which in practice tells you very little. Turn up mid-afternoon and you may be looking at a lot of empty ground.

What you get is the standard casual mix: food stalls, browsing, a crowd of locals and holidaymakers who've had enough of Beach Road. It's not a landmark and it won't take up your whole evening, but if you're staying nearby and want somewhere low-key to eat and wander for an hour or two, it does the job. Anyone hunting for the big, established bazaars with a hundred stalls should head elsewhere first and keep this as a second night out.
