Amanpuri

Perched on a private peninsula above the Andaman Sea on Phuket's northwest coast, Amanpuri is one of Thailand's most celebrated luxury resorts. Part of the globally renowned Aman group, the property offers a collection of pavilions and villas set among swaying palms, with direct beach access, an infinity pool, and four dining options. The atmosphere leans toward serene and private rather than showy — guests frequently describe it as feeling less like a hotel and more like a curated world apart, where attention to detail is absolute and the pace is deliberately unhurried.
Service is a defining feature of the experience. Staff are known for anticipating needs quietly and efficiently — fresh dry towels appear at the water's edge while guests swim, and requests are handled with minimal fuss. The resort suits couples and solo travellers seeking genuine tranquillity, though families with children also find it well-catered to. With four dining outlets on site and a strong beach club offering, most guests find little reason to leave the grounds.
Amanpuri sits in the Choeng Thale area of Thalang district in northern Phuket, away from the more crowded southern beach strips. The resort operates around the clock and is open year-round, though the quieter low season between May and October offers a notably peaceful atmosphere with softer light and calmer surroundings, as some visitors have specifically noted. Rates reflect the luxury positioning, so prospective guests should book well in advance, particularly for peak-season stays between November and April.

Reviews from Google
Probably Phuket’s finest resort. I understand that people may be worried about the price but trust me, it is definitely worth it. I have to be honest I have stayed in many 5 stars hotels all over the world but not many of them know how to present their “5 stars” to their guests well. For the price you are paying for Amanpuri, you get their semi-private beach which is very tranquil and clean without a big crowd running around shouting and bickering. You can get all the peace and privacy you need for a serene holiday. Also, their house cleaning team somehow knows when you leave and they clean your room in a flash before you go back every time which is jaw-dropping! The service is undeniably the best I have ever had after having travelled to 20 countries and this is not what you can easily find in Phuket in general. Their complimentary breakfast is amazingly cooked and you have a wide range of choices. Also, almost every staff knows who you are and what you need so you barely have to waste a brain cell. Their gym is also very advanced enough for a gym rat like me. I feel like they put in a lot of efforts on training their staff and maintaining their facilities. The final goodbye from the staff at the front desk was so wholesome to me. It’s definitely worth the price because they make sure they won’t do your holiday wrong in Phuket. In Phuket, even some 5 stars hotels can be full of flaws like forgetting to clean the bathroom basin, forgetting about your requests, not caring about your needs and you name it. However, I didn’t feel like anything could go wrong during my stay at Amanpuri. It may be expensive to some people but the high-end service lived up to my expectations and you don’t want your trip to be ruined especially for people like me who can rarely squeeze time for a long holiday. Especially thanks to Khun Nun - Room Division Manager, Giulia - Guest Relation Manager, Puy-noon - Guest Service Assistance and Fern - Intern Staff for making my trip truly amazing and stress free!
We always believed Aman hotels were more suited for adults — until our stay at Amanpuri. Now we know that truly exceptional hotels like Aman are perfect for all kinds of travelers, including families. Both we and our children thoroughly enjoyed our time here. From the moment we arrived, the level of detail and personalized service was remarkable. Whatever we needed, the Amanpuri team made it happen with warmth and efficiency. The wide range of activities kept everyone entertained, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it unforgettable. The property itself is stunning — a beautiful expression of traditional Thai architecture. Although Amanpuri is one of the older Aman properties, you would never know it; the maintenance and design standards remain impeccable. Dining was another highlight. Every meal was excellent, with the Thai restaurant being a particular favorite of ours. The food and beverages were consistently outstanding. We did experience a brief issue with the limousine service, but the management team responded quickly and resolved it to our complete satisfaction — a great example of their commitment to guest care. We are absolutely delighted with our Amanpuri experience and have already decided to return next year. A truly exceptional stay in every way.
Amanpuri is perfection distilled. Tucked into a private peninsula above the Andaman Sea, it feels less like a hotel and more like a serene, perfectly curated world that exists solely for your peace. Every detail is effortless: the hushed elegance of the pavilions, the intuitive, almost invisible service, the timeless Thai architecture, and the sense of complete privacy that only Aman does so well. Mornings unfold slowly to the sound of the ocean, days glide by between flawless dining, tranquil beaches, and quiet moments of awe, and nights feel sacred in their stillness. To summarize, Amanpuri is one of those rare places that quietly redefines what perfection in hospitality truly means.
