Jomtien Hostel

4.1(153 reviews)

Tucked away at the end of a quiet residential street in Jomtien, this informal hostel offers a relaxed base for travellers looking to explore the calmer, less frenetic side of the Pattaya area. Private rooms are notably spacious and well-maintained, with some units featuring kitchenettes that suit longer stays. The hostel sits within a short walk of Jomtien Beach, and its street is lined with a handful of local restaurants, keeping things convenient without the noise of the main tourist strip. Guests consistently highlight the cleanliness and the friendliness of staff as standout qualities. A free drinking water station is a practical bonus in the Thai heat, and the location offers reasonable access to key transit points including the Central Bus Terminal and Bali Hai Pier. Private rooms have been reported at around 700 baht per night, making this one of the more affordable private accommodation options in the area. It is worth noting that opinions on the location are mixed — some travellers find the quiet setting a genuine draw, while others feel it lacks convenient transport links. The hostel is open daily from 07:00 to 22:00, so those planning late arrivals should contact the property in advance to confirm check-in arrangements. Booking directly through the hostel website is recommended for the most current pricing and availability.

Visitor Reviews

It is exactly as advertised and what you see on pictures. The hostel is situated at the end of a quiet street, not far from the beach and a few restaurants in the same street. Nice touch: free drinking water provided. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, good working A/C, hot shower, fridge & TV and a good sized room & balcony overlooking an empty but green plot. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay of almost a week and would return anytime again.

The rooms are super spacious, immaculately clean and located a 2 minute stroll to Jomtien Beach. The price of 700bhat per night for a private room is such a bargain I’ve stayed here twice, in 2 different rooms and loved them both

Best hostel ever Clean Friendly staff Near to visiting places and walkable distance to beach Really worth it Go for it ❤️

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
