InterContinental Pattaya Resort by IHG

4.6(3,102 reviews)

This is a resort you settle into rather than use as a base. It sits on a cliff above the gulf on Phra Tamnak Road, south of Pattaya proper, and nothing is walkable from it. That's the trade. You get gardens, greenery and quiet in exchange for needing transport every time you want a shop or a restaurant that isn't on site.

The layout runs up and down the hillside, so you're either taking stairs or calling the buggy, which most guests seem happy to do. Three pools cover different moods: a shallow one for families, a deeper main pool, and a narrow quieter one. The Club Lounge is the thing people rave about hardest, with a daily rotating menu and breakfast that changes its special dish each morning. Guests also single out the Saturday night seafood buffet. Service is the real draw here, mentioned again and again by name.

One honest note: there's no direct beach access, and reviewers aren't especially taken with the beach below anyway. Head to Jomtien or Pattaya Beach if sand matters.

Excellent resort just outside of pattaya city. From the property to the staff, great overall experience. It is located just outside of pattaya city, so it is not really walkable. As it is a resort, there isnt anything really close by. They offer shuttle service to central pattaya. There is no direct beach access from the resort, but honestly, the beach itself didn't look that great anyway. Probably better to just go down to pattaya beach, or jomtien. The property itself is pretty fantastic. My room was a very good size, clean and luxurious, with a nice patio. The bathroom was very nice, even though I would have liked it to be slightly larger. The king bed was nice and comfortable. I spent 2 days here to relax after several nights in pattaya city, and it was very welcome change. The outdoor pool looked nice and clean, even though I didnt utilities it. Breakfast had good offerings. The beachside restaurant had an amazing view, the food was great, and there was a excellent guitar and vocal duo playing. The hotel staff here were honestly amazing. They put the cherry on top for this stay. Really professional and really friendly. Everyone, in all corners of the property, from the front desk, to the bar and restaurants were incredible. Loved my relaxing stay at the intercontinental pattaya resort. The staff here just really made my stay very special. Very highly recommended.

An exceptional stay at InterContinental Pattaya Resort Our stay at InterContinental Pattaya Resort was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The resort is beautifully designed, nestled in lush greenery with stunning sea views, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The service truly stood out: every team member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed from the very first moment. The rooms were elegant and spacious. We especially enjoyed the serene pools, the private beach access, and the overall calm ambiance of the resort. Breakfast was generous and delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality options and the afternoon tea was amazing ! We enjoyed two dinners at Elements and Infiniti restaurants, the food was exceptional and the views were spectacular! Can’t wait to come back

I had the best stay at the Intercontinental Pattaya. I felt impressed from the check-in already with a warm and sincere welcome from all staff members. The check-in was welcoming and thorough by Isriya. She was really friendly and approachable which already made our first experience of the hotel really pleasant. For the whole week we stayed here, every staff members remembered us and sincerely greeted us everywhere we went in the hotel. Everyone owns a can do attitude and ready to go up and beyond to make sure your stay was memorable. Thank you again, Intercontinental Pattaya. We will definitely be back.
