Visitor Reviews
Excellent resort just outside of pattaya city. From the property to the staff, great overall experience. It is located just outside of pattaya city, so it is not really walkable. As it is a resort, there isnt anything really close by. They offer shuttle service to central pattaya. There is no direct beach access from the resort, but honestly, the beach itself didn't look that great anyway. Probably better to just go down to pattaya beach, or jomtien. The property itself is pretty fantastic. My room was a very good size, clean and luxurious, with a nice patio. The bathroom was very nice, even though I would have liked it to be slightly larger. The king bed was nice and comfortable. I spent 2 days here to relax after several nights in pattaya city, and it was very welcome change. The outdoor pool looked nice and clean, even though I didnt utilities it. Breakfast had good offerings. The beachside restaurant had an amazing view, the food was great, and there was a excellent guitar and vocal duo playing. The hotel staff here were honestly amazing. They put the cherry on top for this stay. Really professional and really friendly. Everyone, in all corners of the property, from the front desk, to the bar and restaurants were incredible. Loved my relaxing stay at the intercontinental pattaya resort. The staff here just really made my stay very special. Very highly recommended.
Built on a cliff side at beachfront, the hotel is an older large resort-style property, in good condition, with extensive gardens and greenery throughout. Three pools offer options for families in a more shallow pool, a main (deeper) pool and a smaller narrow and quieter option. You can choose to walk up and down stairs to get around the resort or use the buggy service to get around. You’ll need to use transport to get to non-resort shops or restaurants as they’re not easily walkable. Staff are friendly and thoughtful and efficient. Our request for room make up and turn down time was well carried out. We had a nice upgrade (refurbished room) and club intercontinental access due to status and the club is a nice environment with a reasonable offering at each service time. Overall, our 3 stays here over recent years have been consistently positive.
An exceptional stay at InterContinental Pattaya Resort Our stay at InterContinental Pattaya Resort was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The resort is beautifully designed, nestled in lush greenery with stunning sea views, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The service truly stood out: every team member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed from the very first moment. The rooms were elegant and spacious. We especially enjoyed the serene pools, the private beach access, and the overall calm ambiance of the resort. Breakfast was generous and delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality options and the afternoon tea was amazing ! We enjoyed two dinners at Elements and Infiniti restaurants, the food was exceptional and the views were spectacular! Can’t wait to come back
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
