This pin is the far tip of Pratumnak Hill, Cape Bali Hai, where the headland at the south end of Pattaya Bay runs into the sea. You stand by the Cape Bali Hai lighthouse and look back along the whole beachfront to the towers of central Pattaya, with the Koh Larn boats going in and out of Bali Hai pier in front of you. There's a small beach on the west side and a café-restaurant, Lighthouse Bay, right by the water.

Sunset is the time to come, as it is everywhere on this hill, and the café's tables by the beach are the comfortable way to watch it, at view prices. Google lists the viewpoint from 04:00 to 22:00 and Lighthouse Bay from 10:00 to 22:00, and there's nothing to pay to stand at the lighthouse.

It's an easy walk. Go past Bali Hai pier at the south end of Walking Street and follow the road out to the lighthouse, about 700 m. Parking at the cape is a handful of spaces, so if you're driving, leave the car nearer the pier. From the lighthouse a staircase climbs to the PATTAYA CITY letters and the lookout above them.

The names get confused. Phra Tamnak Mountain Viewpoint, at the top of those stairs by the PATTAYA CITY sign, is about 500 m southeast and higher up, with the bigger view over the bay. The temple viewpoint at Wat Khao Phra Bat is about 1 km south, and Wat Phra Yai's 18-meter golden Buddha about 1.8 km south along the ridge.
