Visitor Reviews
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The beds were outstanding – incredibly comfortable and of exceptional quality. We slept amazingly well every single night, which made our entire trip even more enjoyable and relaxing. The location is simply perfect. It is extremely convenient and ideally situated, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and access everything we needed within a short distance. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The combination of superb comfort and an excellent location makes this hotel a place we would highly recommend and gladly return to.
BEST RESORT IN KOH SAMUI, THAILAND! I had an amazing holiday at the Al's Resort Koh Samui! This is by far my most favorite place I return too in Koh Samui! Located in between the beach and Central Mall. The resort's outlets "The Chonlamark Restaurant" and "The Beach Bar" are newly renovated and has great menu and the food is simply delightful from breakfast to dinner time or you can lounge at the beach whole day which they provide sunbeds and bean bags. Salute to all the staffs! Good job!
We stayed at Al's Resort for 5 nights. There are positives and negatives. The Room: Studio style with separate toilet/shower room. The vanity area is outside the bathroom across from the closet. Overall the room itself was nice and served its purpose. There were doors that opened up to a small courtyard but unfortunately this was unusable. It had dead plants, planks of wood with nails, and what I assume is a sewer access releasing an awful smell. Additionally, the air-conditioning unit was situated directly above the sewer causing our room to smell when using the fresh air con setting. We ended up switching to internal air circulation only to avoid this. The Price: Our room was $940 for 5 nights. The Amenities: The pools are both really nice. One is located in the middle of the complex and the other down by the beach. There's also 2 hot tubs available. The restaurant has a nice, daytime vibe for relaxation and sea gazing. The music choice is questionable later in the afternoon with club style music but there was also live mic and guitar music for some of the time. Light sleepers may have difficulties sleeping as the heavy and loud club music continues on into the night. Overall, Al's Resort is a nice, mid-range resort offering nice rooms and amenities.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
