Kapi Sator Central Samui
Recognised by the Michelin Guide 2024–2026, this Southern Thai restaurant sits on the ground floor of Central Festival shopping centre along Chaweng Beach Road, drawing both locals and tourists with its authentic flavours and consistently attentive service. The kitchen specialises in Southern Thai cuisine while also doing justice to Thai street food classics such as crab fried rice and pad see ew, with dishes prepared to individual spice preferences on request. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with reviewers noting it feels particularly cosy compared to other locations in the Kapi Sator group. Staff are praised for their personal approach, and the food is described as fresh, well-balanced, and carefully prepared. The mall setting brings added practical benefits: reliable air conditioning, easy parking, and access to other facilities within the complex. Good to know: Prices sit roughly double those of local street restaurants, and a 10% service charge plus 7% VAT are added to bills, so it is worth factoring this into budgeting. The restaurant opens at 10am and runs until 1am every day of the week, making it a flexible option for late dinners after evening activities. Visiting during off-peak meal times can mean a quieter experience, particularly during the busy December to February high season. Check the restaurant's website at kapisator.com for any updates on reservations or seasonal menus.

Visitor Reviews
The food was very delicious and authentic taste. If you are Thai please do not worried about the taste, they’ll made it the from your spiciness preference. The service was amazing and good taking care of your dinner.
From the very first step I took into the restaurant, I was genuinely impressed. Every dish was delicious, perfectly balanced in flavor, and clearly prepared with great care. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and each plate was beautifully presented — definitely worthy of a photo before eating. What truly made me feel that I would “absolutely come back again” was the excellent service. All the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive from the moment I ordered until the end of the meal. The food was served promptly, their recommendations were helpful, and they checked in just the right amount — not too much and not too little. Overall, the combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere makes this restaurant perfect for both special occasions and casual dining. If you’re looking for a great place to eat, this is definitely worth trying! 🌟🍽️✨
Cozier Than the Original!** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've dined at the original Kapi Sator before, but this Central Samui location feels even cozier and more inviting. What elevated my dinner was Khun Ju's personal touch—she made the whole experience truly pleasant with her warm, attentive service. I chose to sit inside since the outdoor tables are a bit too close to the road, and engine smoke might ruin the night. It was perfect—cleaner air and a relaxed vibe. All the staff are super attentive, and while the menu isn't overly varied, it offers just enough options to spend a quick 10 minutes picking the perfect dish for your mood. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend—I'll be back!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
