If you want one active day in Phuket that isn't a beach, this is the one I'd point you at. Ziplines, sky bridges and abseil points are strung through the forested hills of Kathu, near Kathu Waterfall, and the guides are the reason families do well here, teenagers included. Review after review comes back to the same thing, staff who take the harness checks seriously and are funny while they do it. One family mentions instructors coaxing a nervous younger son through the whole course rather than rushing him.

The packages are priced per person on the operator's own site. FH1, the full course, is ฿3,290 for 42 platforms, 14 ziplines and four sky bridges, two to three hours with a meal. FH2 is ฿2,490 for 28 platforms and seven ziplines in one to two hours, and FH3 is ฿1,990 for 12 platforms and three ziplines in under an hour. The Canopy Walk, a 200-meter cable skywalk with no zipping, is ฿1,500. Half-day combos pair FH3 with rides at Hanuman World for ฿3,450, an ATV ride or elephant feeding for ฿2,650 each (฿3,450 for both), or lunch at Three Monkeys for ฿2,150.

Hotel pickup is included with the packages. Riders need to be 4 to 80 years old and 20 to 120 kg, and in good health. Wear closed-toe shoes you don't mind scuffing, bring a phone or camera you can secure, and actually listen to the briefing. The people who have a bad time are usually the ones who don't.

It's open daily from 08:00 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:00, so take a morning slot before the heat or an early afternoon one. You can book on the official website or through third-party platforms, and I'd book ahead in high season.
