Flying Hanuman

4.8(2,903 reviews)

If you want one active day in Phuket that isn't a beach, this is the one I'd point you at. Zipline platforms, sky bridges and ATV runs strung through the forested hills of Kathu, with combo packages that bundle the lot together with a Thai lunch. Families do well here, including teenagers, and the staff are the reason. Review after review comes back to the same thing: guides who take the harness checks seriously and are genuinely funny while they do it. One family mentions instructors coaxing a nervous younger son through the whole course rather than rushing him.

The site itself has good vantage points, so bring a phone or camera you can secure. Wear closed-toe shoes you don't mind scuffing, and actually listen to the briefing. The people who have a bad time are usually the ones who don't.

Reviews from Google

Absolutely unforgettable experience at Flying Hanuman in Phuket! We did the zipline + ATV combo, and it was beyond amazing. The whole adventure felt safe, thrilling, and incredibly well organized. A special thank you to our instructors, Nadti and Pi - they were absolutely fantastic! So professional, supportive, and at the same time super fun. They made sure we felt confident, secure, and really enjoyed every second of the ride. The atmosphere with them was light, joyful, and full of positive energy :))) We took the 8 AM session, and it was the best decision ever - there was nobody else, just the two of us. It felt very exclusive, peaceful, and even more special being alone in the jungle with nature all around. The views, the fresh air, the adrenaline. Highly recommend this experience to everyone visiting Phuket. 10/10 for organization, safety, fun, and amazing staff!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
