Krabitrek
Based in Ao Nang, Krabitrek is a tour and activity operator offering a range of outdoor adventures across the Krabi region, including ATV experiences, mangrove kayaking, water rafting, and elephant encounters. The agency handles bookings directly and provides hotel pickup and drop-off as part of many of its packages, making it a convenient option for travellers staying in the area who want to explore beyond the beaches. Visitor experiences vary. Those who have taken the mangrove kayak tours and ATV packages report well-organised outings with attentive staff, and several travellers highlight the smooth booking process and responsive communication from the team. The Ao Thalene sunset kayaking tour in particular draws positive mentions for the scenery and overall experience. However, some visitors have raised concerns about itineraries not being followed as described and inconsistent service quality on certain tours, so it is worth clarifying the details of any package before confirming a booking. Prospective visitors are advised to communicate expectations clearly at the time of booking, confirm what is included in terms of food, water, and timing, and get itinerary details in writing where possible. Reaching out to the agency directly before arrival is recommended, as no website is currently listed for online reference.

Visitor Reviews
Went on the Ao Thalene sunset kayaking tour and the ATV / Water rafting tour. The process was really smooth for booking and Mem was patient in answering my queries. They are trustworthy and the drivers also came on time. I really enjoyed the For Friends Kayak as the guide was such a sweet gentleman who accommodates to our requests and is very polite even though there were only two of us on the tour. Lost my gopro and they went into the mud just to help me search for it, who they managed to find in the end. The water rafting adventure was also fun and the guide was funny and amazing! Highly recommended and will definitely take this small tour again as they do not focus on elephant trekking /riding which is inhumane.
We had a mangrove kayak trip and it was one of the best impressions we have brought home from Thailand. Definitely recommend. There was a little rain, it was not hot, and there were just one more kayak with us. The mangrove jungle and the rocks and the nature was beautiful. We also had a great local guide, Matt, who showed us his beloved places and told a lot of interesting and fun facts (very good English skills too 👍). Thank you!
We booked through KrabiTrek for our ATV experience and had a great time! They did free pickup from our hotel on time. Then gave our group an extra 15 minutes on the ATV's. We finished up with a complimentary fruit snack and free waters. All of the people were so nice, Overall great experience.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
