สวนข้าวฟ่าง Garnetfarm
Tucked away in the quiet village of Ban Nam Khrom near Krabi town, สวนข้าวฟ่าง Garnetfarm is a lovingly tended private garden run by a host known as Bon. What sets this place apart is the deeply personal experience on offer — visitors are welcomed into Bon's world of tropical plants, fruit trees, and agricultural passion, including homegrown cacao, in a setting that feels genuinely off the beaten path. A visit typically includes a guided walk through the garden, where Bon introduces guests to a wide variety of plants and trees, many of which visitors will be encountering for the first time. Fruit tastings are a highlight, and homemade pancakes have been noted by guests as a delightful addition to the experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational, with Bon sharing knowledge and stories throughout — making this as much a cultural exchange as a garden tour. As there is no website or listed opening hours, it is worth noting that visits appear to work best on a drop-in or informal basis, though contacting ahead where possible is advisable. The farm is located in a relatively rural part of Krabi, so having your own transport is recommended. This experience suits travellers who enjoy slow, meaningful encounters with local life rather than structured tourist attractions.

Visitor Reviews
Telling our family and friends about our trip to Thailand, they will be surprised and excited to hear the majority we want to talk about is our journey with Bon and Khao Fhang.😁 Bon sweetly greeted us after our spontaneous arrival and invited us around to look at her garden, pointing out the plethora of fresh fruit and vegetables she grows. She is very hard working and passionate about what she is doing as she shared this has been a life long dream for her. Along with being educated and toured around we were treated to some amazing pineapple, rambutan, and sugar cane. After some snacking, laughing, and picture taking we were invited back the next day to have brunch, do some activities around the garden, and visit friends at a local water park. We enjoyed the best pineapple pancakes and tea we have ever had. After we started our journey to the water park, along the way were honks, waves, and smiles from all the locals of Khao Thong greeting and happy to see the famous Bon out of the garden. We were treated to cassava for lunch to fill our bellies after a long active day. Hearing Bon’s story during our journey and learning about how she got to where she is today was by far the highlight of our 2 week trip. From being warmly greeted at the garden gate by a stranger, not exactly sure what to expect, to hugging goodbye knowing we made a life-long friend that we will think of and talk about often- we will be going out of our way to come back and visit frequently. We were treated with such genuineness and care, It made my wife and I very joyful. I want to be joyful for others and show others love the way Bon treated and showed us. We love you Bon, Chris and Katie 😁❤️
An unexpected but wonderful end to our trip in Krabi. We were in a fairly remote area for the last few days and on our final day we visited Bon, who was next door to where we were staying. We arrived unannounced and she hosted us for several hours …. She had bought rural land and over the last 5 years has created an amazing garden. We sat with her and enjoyed the fruits from her garden - watermelon, pineapple, longan, dried mango and cashew nuts - as she talked about her life and the garden she had created. So friendly and generous with her time. Sometimes the unexpected experiences are the best. Thanks Bon!
We dropped in spontaneously after seeing all the positive reviews and spent the best couple of hours being hosted by Bon and Khao Fong 🐕 you can really see the love and care Bon has put into growing her garden full of different fruits and flowers! Afterward we sat with Bon for some local snacks and she made us colour changing tea with flowers from her garden! We will never forget the experience and wish you will fulfil your dream of your camping ground and café, Bon!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
