X-Quad samui ATV tour
X-Quad Samui specialises in guided off-road ATV and buggy tours that take travellers well beyond Koh Samui's coastal resorts and into the island's less-visited interior. Routes wind through jungle terrain, rubber plantations, and traditional Thai villages, offering a hands-on way to experience landscapes and local life that most visitors never encounter. The operation is located in Mae Nam on the island's northern side and runs daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, giving travellers flexibility to fit a tour around other plans. Tours are available in multiple durations, with the four-hour option being a popular choice among visitors. Groups are accompanied by guides positioned at both the front and rear of the pack, with additional support riders checking on participants throughout. Reviewers consistently highlight the guides as knowledgeable, attentive, and welcoming, and note that the vehicles are well-maintained and handle the terrain confidently. The tour includes stops at scenic viewpoints and, on some routes, food along the way. Both first-time riders and those with prior experience tend to find the tours well-suited to their level. Good to know: No prior riding experience is required, as guides provide clear instruction before and during the tour. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting dirty, as conditions on the trails can be muddy. Protective gear is provided. Booking ahead is advisable, particularly during peak season or for larger groups. Check the X-Quad Samui website for current tour options and pricing before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
My family and I booked a 4-hour ATV and buggy tour, and it turned out to be a truly unforgettable experience. The tour was organized at the highest level — everything was perfectly planned from start to finish. The route was very diverse and rich in impressions: • a stunning viewpoint overlooking the northeast coast of Samui, • a high-altitude viewpoint with panoramic views of the east coast, • a stop at a beautiful and cozy bar for refreshing drinks, • lunch at the top of one of the mountains with breathtaking views, • and, of course, a visit to one of the most beautiful places on the island — Tan Rua Waterfall. The emotions and sensations from the tour are simply indescribable. It is a perfect combination of adrenaline, nature, and comfort. I would also like to especially highlight the excellent safety standards — the briefing, equipment, and professional guidance were outstanding, which is extremely important when traveling with family. Many thanks to the X-Quad Samui team for their professionalism, attention to detail, and for providing such an amazing experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Samui from a new perspective and enjoy truly unforgettable moments.
Awesome experience and worth the money! We took the 4hr atv tour which we booked just the night before. Some parts of the drive were technical but the guides were clear with their instructions. There were 4 stops in total (Mr. Dee Chilling Hill Bar, climbed to the top of a temple for a 360view of the island, lunch at Mountain Jungle with a superb view and finally waterfall which was also near the zip line and cafe/ bar). Thank you for taking care of us!
Would definitely recommend coming here, everyone is super friendly and a great laugh, had a great tour with some beautiful stops and food. Our tour guide was amazing he was a great laugh and had very good jokes 😂 definitely check this place out if your in Koh Samui and definitely recommend getting the Z10 was great fun 🤩 thank you guys for a great day✨✨

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
