Barcade
Once a standout bar-arcade experience on Koh Samui, Barcade combines a casual bar setting with a small selection of arcade games, making it a casual stop for those looking to mix drinks with a bit of retro-style gaming. Located in Bo Put on the north coast of the island, it draws visitors hoping for a laid-back evening out, particularly families or groups seeking something a little different from the usual beach bar scene. However, prospective visitors should approach with caution and updated expectations. Multiple recent visitors note that the venue has undergone a significant downsizing from what is shown in its promotional photos. What was once described as a large, well-stocked arcade bar now operates with only a handful of machines — reportedly around three to five — and a much smaller footprint than previously advertised. The bar remains open and staff are noted as friendly, with decent music adding to the atmosphere. Practically speaking, it is worth contacting the venue directly before making a special trip, particularly if travelling from another part of the island such as Lamai. The current experience is best suited to those who happen to be nearby and want a casual drink with a small gaming element, rather than a dedicated arcade night out. Drinks are reported to be on the lighter side in terms of strength, so those expecting a full bar experience may want to adjust expectations accordingly.

Visitor Reviews
Music was good but also competing with other music nearby. Did the review for a free shot as shown on the menu but the shot was not nice tasting 🤣 Drinks were not strong. Staff were friendly enough. Can buy tokens to play the games
Was here in 2024 and it was amazing! One of the coolest bars I've ever been too, Beware its nowhere near the same place at all! Its about 1/8 the size and only has 3 different games. Bring back the original Barcade!!!!! Also update your pictures on Google. False Advertising.....
We went with our kids all the way from Lamai to have a fun arcade night. We trusted the pictures they posted. However, they no longer look like that. It’s now 3 games, and that’s about it (no bar whatsoever!). Big deception for the entire family

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
