ANDAMAN Thai food & Seafood restaurant
Situated in the Bo Put area on Koh Samui's northern coast, this casual Thai seafood restaurant has earned a strong reputation among both visitors and locals for its fresh fish, honest cooking, and approachable prices. The menu centres on classic Thai dishes — grilled fish, pad thai, tom yum soup — alongside burgers and other options that give the menu broader appeal. Grilled fish is frequently singled out by visitors as a standout, praised for its smoky flavour and generous portioning. The atmosphere is relaxed and unfussy, welcoming walk-ins as readily as planned visits. Several diners mention stopping in on impulse and leaving satisfied, which speaks to the consistency of the kitchen on its better nights. Pricing draws repeated praise as fair for the quality on offer — a practical consideration on an island where beachside restaurants in tourist-heavy areas can charge a significant premium. That said, a small number of reviews suggest the experience can vary by dish, so asking staff what seafood is freshest that day is a sensible approach. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM and stays open until 2:00 AM every day of the week, making it a reliable option for late dinners or a meal after an evening out. Bo Put sits on the island's quieter northern shore, so travellers based in Chaweng or Lamai should factor in travel time.

Visitor Reviews
We were walking by and decided to stop here and grab some dinner. Amazing quality, tasty and for a really fair price. The portion sizes were great, filled me up right to the sweet spot of not to full but also not feeling no filled up. Friendly staff willing to adjust the meal to your preferences. And to top it off some nice refreshing watermelon slices to finish. If I have to pick a spot to eat again it would definitely be this place.
We stopped by this Thai restaurant on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! The grilled fish turned out to be the highlight — smoky, tender, and bursting with flavor. The portion size was impressive, and the staff made us feel right at home with their warm and attentive service. A truly satisfying meal from start to finish.
The food was absolutely incredible, and at a very good price. The service was fantastic as well. I would come back here any day.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
