Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park (Suan Hin)
Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park, also known as Suan Hin, is a green urban retreat set against a dramatic limestone cliff on the grounds of Kanchanaburi Agricultural College. The park is dedicated to the Princess Mother and features three distinct zones: a formal manicured garden surrounding her memorial, a shady arboretum ideal for a quiet stroll, and the standout stone garden — a striking landscape of natural rock formations that gives the park its informal name, Suan Hin, meaning "stone garden." The atmosphere here is calm and unhurried, drawing locals who come to exercise, cycle, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Visitors can expect well-kept green spaces alongside more rugged, natural areas, with the limestone cliff providing an impressive natural backdrop throughout. The park has a genuinely peaceful character, and staff on site are noted by visitors as kind and willing to help. A practical note for first-time visitors: the entrance can be easy to miss and involves a short detour along a dirt and gravel road, so allow a little extra time when navigating there. Arriving in the cooler morning hours makes the most of the shaded arboretum and garden areas. As there is no website or confirmed opening hours available, it is worth checking locally before visiting to confirm access.

Visitor Reviews
It's a lovely place for someone who love nature, bike and exercise. Peacefully place. Sadly that there is not much staff to take care of the garden. Local Staff is really kind and helpful, he answer all the tree's name. Not sure if they can speak English. Note: there is not much place to eat around that area. recommend to bring food and water with you. Also driving is recommend because it is far from center of the city
Park is located in Karnchanaburi Agricultural College.
24/9/68 The entrance is a bit of a detour. At first, I thought I was lost, but it wasn't. It's a detour. Some parts are dirt and gravel. There are still people taking care of the place. It's quiet. 😅
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
