Hua Hin Artists Village (Baan Sillapin)
Tucked into the quieter Hin Lek Fai area of Hua Hin, this artists village functions as both a working studio complex and cultural attraction, bringing together local artists, artisans, and visitors in a setting that feels distinctly removed from the town's more commercial tourist trail. Galleries showcase diverse artwork rooted in Thai culture, including dedicated exhibitions such as the Real Thai Beauty collection, and most pieces on display are available for purchase directly from the artists. Beyond browsing, the village offers an interactive dimension that sets it apart. Visitors can join painting workshops where materials are provided, with activities priced accessibly at around 150 to 300 baht, making it a practical choice for families with children. A cafe on site provides a relaxed spot to pause between exploring the various studios and exhibition spaces, and the overall atmosphere rewards those who take their time rather than rush through. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not consistently published, so it is worth checking with your accommodation or a local tourism office before visiting. Entry fees apply to some areas of the village, while certain sections remain accessible without a ticket. Allowing one to two hours is generally sufficient to explore the site comfortably, though those interested in a workshop activity should factor in additional time.

Visitor Reviews
Hua Hin Art Village is one of the most inspiring places I’ve visited in Hua Hin. I’ve been here twice: once exploring on my own, and another time on a trip with Chulalongkorn University and both visits were truly wonderful. The village is full of creative energy, with local artists working in their studios, unique handmade pieces, and colorful murals everywhere you turn. Each gallery has its own personality, from contemporary paintings to traditional Thai crafts, so every walk through the village feels different and exciting. This place helped me understand Thai art on a deeper and more personal level.
Amazing place with amazing arts and people! The art pieces were very diverse and rich in culture. I especially love the gallery on Real Thai Beauty (RTB), an interesting take on capturing the beauty of women. Met an inspirational artist (Nang), where she shared about her vision on arts. She’s an amazing artist. There is also a cosy art corner where visitors could hands on (DIY beadings, painting etc) or even feeding the fishes in the pond. Pin who manage the cosy art corner is such a sweet and friendly lady too! Would love to visit the art village again! 💚
Definitely worth going to. The museum is great, you can actually buy things there if you want. Good place to take your kids as they have an area to make things. The Moka Cafe makes a good cappuccino and I enjoyed the ice cocoa drink. Entrance fee to the museum area is 80bhtpp lots of rooms to explore, we'll worth the price. They had a little shop by the entrance with some lovely bags and jewellery, but I thought things were overpriced, had the prices been more reasonable, I would've bought a few things.
Tips for Visiting Temples & Culture
Dress Modestly
Cover shoulders and knees at all temples. Carry a light scarf or sarong — some temples lend wraps, but not all. Shoes come off before entering any building with a Buddha image.
Mind Your Feet
Never point your feet at a Buddha image or a monk — it's considered deeply disrespectful. When sitting inside a temple, tuck your feet behind you or to the side.
Ask Before Photographing
Exterior photos are almost always fine, but some interior halls prohibit photography. Look for signs, and never pose irreverently with Buddha images — it's a legal offense in Thailand.
